Portis running wild in the first half, up 20 in the 3rd, how did this team lose to East Carolina?

Was it the greatness of David Garrard, the elite coAching of Steve Logan, or did ECU have more talent?

I could be wrong, but before one of the ECU games there was only a short time for preparation because of bad weather, I believe.

ECU played that "home" game in Raleigh, so if anyone got screwed, it was them.

To be fair on Butch I assume that even in Raleign most of the crowd was for ECU.

Not that it excuses losing to ECU.

In fact, in 1996 he lost to ECU at the Orange Bowl.
