Big game tonight. Utah is ranked #16 in the country and just beat Texas Tech 73-63. Larry Krystkowiak has really improved that program and they're coming off a Sweet 16 season last year. They should compete with Zona for the Pac 12 title. Mr. Murphy will make his debut tonight and it couldn't come at a better time.


Key Players: Utah has 4 players averaging double figures.

Jordan Loveridge: 21.0 PPG, 4.3 RPG and 1.7 APG
Jakob Poeltl: 18.7 PPG, 10.7 RPG, 1.3 APG and 2.0 BPG

Random Tidbits:

- Utah has not shot well so far this year. Each game they have shot worse than the prior game (last game 38.3%)
- Angel shot 4-6 (against MSU) and 4-11 (ULL). Last year when Angel shot 30% or less (aka awful shooting) the canes were 6-8.

Worried about how we handle Poeltl. Dude is a legit big, could have gone to the NBA last year. If Jekiri gets in early foul trouble, this guy could feast on Uceda, Murphy, or Izundu.

Preseason polls are the worst and they shouldn't exist in basketball or football.

Basketball should start after December. Football after week 4.

Uceda, in a perfect world. We may have to move ICU to the 5 and play Murphy at the 4 exclusively IF Jekiri gets into foul trouble.

And...if we win this tourney, and win convincingly over Utah and either Butler or Temple...I think we should be Top 15 in the next set of polls. If not...then the fix is in.
