Oh Got you and i agree the money the NFL makes off of it and like @grover said the ability the players have to market themselves is the answer. I in no way believe its going away just

With Pro Days at the players own campus becoming so huge I'm really shocked, other than the obvious financial reasons for the NFL, the Combine still exists.

Holmes, pro days are legit unofficial ****. The combine is official. U’ll have a dude run a 4.6 at the combine, laser timed, & on pro day run a 4.4. Lol. The combine will never go anywhere. Pro Days simply give scouts an opportunity to maybe revisit some guys, talk to the coaches & strength staff, etc, but in order of importance for most scouts it’s:

1. Production (in season, & post season)
2. Character (off field issues, why so many transfers)
3. Combine Testing (athleticism, percentile)
4. Pro Days (getting a feel from coaching staff, a second opportunity to improve on testing &/or 1st opportunity for a controlled environment for testing).

There’s a lot I don’t like about Goodell’s NFL, but I will say this: This **** has created 24/7/365 NFL talk. B/c of the scheduling, & how the events are, the off season doesn’t feel nearly as long as they did under Tags (who I feel is the GOAT NFL Commish). Goodell has done an outstanding job in marketing & pushing the league so far ahead of all the U.S Sports it’s not even funny.
