The best case scenario is this Clemson beats FSU by 1 point in a 35-34 thriller which would only drop FSU to maybe 11, which would allow them to slip back into the Top 10 by the time we play them. Then Clemson stomps USCe in the last game of the regular season before USCe plays bama in the SC championship game were ther upset bama. We play Clemson in the ACCCG as a Top 5 match up beat them and go onto the last BCS game to end the BCS era the way it started with a Miami National Championship curb stomping 21pt beaten down of undeafeted Ohio State.

Go Canes

I want an undefeated Ohio State not playing in the championship game. It would be amazing if they were undefeated for two season and no championship game to show for it. Then they lose their first regular season game of next season.

Don't forget VT doesn't play Clemson or F$U They should be 10-2. ACC should have 4 teams with 10 wins or more at the end of the regular season. With the champion likely undefeated and in the title game.

I don't care which. Just beat who we play this week. We are in control of our own destiny, that is all you can ask in college football. I like our chances if we are undefeated ACC Champs at getting a shot at MNC but a BCS bowl is a major step up from anything we have seen in many years.

They were talking about the strength of conferences.

Herbie said that people shouldn't forget about us after Clemson/FSU as we are still "hovering around"

If FSU beats Clemson the entire conversation immediately shifts to Miami vs. FSU. If FSU loses to Clemson, and we beat FSU, the entire conversation immediately to Miami vs. Clemson in the ACCCG, which would be a top 5 matchup. Just be patient.

D@amn it I dont know which scenario I want more.

Just keep winning, that is all we can do, everything else is out of our control.

Let's handle our business and then we can worry about the rest later. UNC is up 1st. Run the score up Al!

I almost completely agree with you except, before any straight miami vs clemson talk gets serious, there will be a lot of miami vs clemson IF miami beats VT. VT is slowly starting to get noticed that they did not completely disappear. I think a lot of people and analyst wrote them off after they struggled with Marshall, but people are starting to realize that they are quietly sneaking back up the rankings with only 1 loss. One of the SEC homers on college football daily was talking about miami and VT today and mentioned that miami would pull an ACC and end up losing to VT. Seriously, they are trying to coin the term "ACCing" as an undefeated team losing to a lesser team.

Can you imagine how much fapping those SEC guys will do if some magical scenario ends up with all the ACC teams knocking each other off.

Absolutely.

Right now, I see a tough game vs. VT. But I gotta be honest, if we somehow beat FSU in Tally, you just gotta go all in at that point, and think we will be able to handle VT at home. Would be 8-0 and State Champs already.

The best case scenario is FSU loses by 50, they start to publicly in-fight, Winston goes baseball, two coaches quit, they find a sinkhole under Doak, they get exposed for paying recruits, and their class falls apart. But no one dies, k? No one dies.

How does Tennessee have anything to do with this argument?

It's amazing that all the ACC talk over the last few weeks hasn't mentioned Miami and is basically solely free shoes and Clempson. We know that's bound to change with a win over FSU...but it's almost as if we aren't undefeated. In fact, VT seems to get equal hype.

We haven't earned anyone's respect yet...understandably. We have to beat one of the big boys.

I just no longer care what Herby or Muffberger or the others on Game Day say about us, really. They're irrelevant moreso each week to me. Just win. Don't need em, don't listen.
