2023 #1 247 RB Richard Young

I mean to be honest, if a player is a bust it’s not Bama’s fault. Lacy ran for 1k 3 straight years in the league. He just gained so much weight. He wasn’t discipline in the off season. It’s not Bama’s fault. Richardson ran for over 900 yards his rookie year. He got traded from a terrible organization and lost his confidence along the way. Bama didn’t take years off his career especially when he was splitting time with Ingram. Yeldon just faded away. And Kenyan is doing exactly what he did at Bama. He never eclipsed 700 yards in a season at Bama. He was used all over the field though. And Bama always used a rb by committee. Their lead back always got reached a 1k though.
When you think about it, it’s almost a feather in the cap of the program to have players bust in the nfl regularly. It means that the league is reaching for their players more often.

Richard Young committed to Bama yesterday (7-30-22). Another RB (Justice Haynes), apparently helped recruit him. Surprised that these two are part of the same class. The only part that makes sense about that is they won't be totally run into the ground by Satan when they enter the draft. The part our coaches are going to need to work hard to counter is that Caleb Downs is apparently a "best friend" of Haynes who also said he knows Olaus (already committed) & Samson Okunlola pretty well and will be recruiting them. The reference to Samson is not ideal (although he appears to be trending Miami according to most sites). Samson is a must get for us. I'm counting on Super Mario to come through & stuff that Mr. A'ight in his locker!
I wouldn't be surprised to see more star RBs look to do this in the future. They know the wear and tear.

I believe somebody said Baxter said the same thing. One of the coaches that were recruiting him showed him he'd be an every down primary back and he didn't like that. Said he'd rather share the backfield.

I’d wager about 99.7% of the inhabitants of that marvelous city did not know this. The mayor is already pushing for a name change. Should get approved by the board this week
At least around 56% of the States in the United States are named after Indigenous Tribes & hundreds if not thousands of cities are named after noteworthy Indigenous Native people, especially in the South & Midwest.

The overwhelming majority of cities in Florida after named the former Indigenous Tribes that used to live in the territory for thousands of years until they Spaniards came. The Native history of Florida alone is some of the most fascinating stuff in the continental Americas.

The Seminole tribe also has an illustrious history & lineage of Black tribesman, that FSU fans similar to most Bama fans (& probably most people in general) has absolutely no clue of & once again is steeped in irony lol.

Multiple Elite players on an already stacked team makes your job as a coach or a player a lot easier.

It’s one thing in cfb to be Bama and have your o line or dline dominate 90percnet of the competition.

But even the worst team in the nfl would slaughter Bama.

Everyone on the worst team is still an nfl starter and the talent gap between p5 starter and an nfl starter is huge.

That’s why there are so many busts in the league. Being dominant while being on a dominant team may be hiding a lot of your weaknesses and the nfl will expose all of them.

Just went to St. Augustine and had a long talk about this with one of the guides at the fountain of youth.
It seems that a lot of the languages and names of the North American tribes have a lot in common with South American, Central American and Carribean native tribes.
Polynesian genes have been found in native tribes in South America.
He theorizes that there has been cultural cross over for thousands of years even going back to possibly the ice age.
Even Mayan language and even some artifacts have been found as far as the Midwest

The Maroons and John Horse. Yup true American History is coming out, more and more everyday. Many of the names you refer to were given to these tribes by their oppressors though (and have derogatory and insulting meanings), for example Seminole. They never called themselves Seminole. American troops called them Seminoles (wild, savage, separatist) because most of them were runaway slaves who fought to stay free and resisted oppression while winning every battle against American troops for their freedom.

It’s always hilarious to see FSU trot out the white guys with the painted red faces as their mascot. When they could simply get any “black” student to do it and it would be accurate and save them some NIL money on red paint and black yaki weave.
