A few things

1. Angel's last 3 games (shooting):

Cuse: 2-11 (FG) and 2-9 (3PT)
NCST: 2-8 (FG) and 2-5 (3PT)
ND: 1-10 (FG) and 1-7 (3PT)

Totals 5-29 (17%) and 5-21 (24%)

Terrible performances and we're still winning games. If he could shoot around 35% (which he averages), we're a really difficult team to beat.

2. Uceda should not be playing much. He isn't "there" yet and he needs to be on the bench. He should get minutes when we're blowing someone out or if there is someone in foul trouble. But there are "signs" of improvement.

3. This was a tough win. We traveled to a loud arena (30K+) on a 48 hour turnaround (Cuse last played on the 20th at home). That's why I'm just glad to get the W.

Larranaga sees something in Uceda.

I think he sees a dominant agile post in the tourney. If not, there's no reason to give him substantial minutes. There's got to be a reason.

I trust Coach, if he see's it, I'm down.

Uceda was fine, especially compared to games 1 and 2. He had 3-4 passes no one would try and make, especially out of the post or the middle of the lane in the zone. Those were "European big man" passes. He also hit the corner 3. I think he's getting better game by game, and will actually be a solid player by the end of the year and a good player next year. The game is there, you can see that, he's just rusty and not up to speed with D-I basketball.

We're a good team. Not sure what happened against Eastern KY. Green Bay is good, not that we should have lost, but if that game stood alone, I wouldn't think twice about it. We're still not consistent, but we're winning games when Angel and McClellan don't have great games. Tonye had another very good game. He's not Hakeem, but he's a legit double/double guy in the ACC, which no one thought he was 2 years ago, or even last year.

What's up with Burnett? Is he hurt?

Lastly, at 14-5, 4-2 we're sitting pretty, but have a long way to go. The schedule gets A LOT easier, but we have to win the winnable games. We should go 2-0 this week, because GT's football team scores more than their b-ball team, and FSU is bad, but, we shouldn't have lost to EKU, so....
