CANES WIN 65-60

Canes now 13-5, 3-2

Canes hit 18-21 FT
McClellan leads way with 16, 10 and 3, Rodriguez has 14, Sherman has 10 and Reed has 10. Burnett didn't play. Did he play against Notre Dame? Hopefully nothing serious.

Burnett lead the team in scoring against ND and played some tonight. Just didn't score.

What did y'all expect from a player who didn't play the first month of the season and is also a newcomer to the team? It's gonna take time.

The only expectation I had of him was to rebound. Did not realize that he was going to be part of the ball screen 3-point offense.

It took Reed a few games to get in the flow and he played a lot last year. Uceda was in jc last year. Got to give him a few more games before judging. If Coach L likes him he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Never mind. I'm stupid. That was Newton.

It's that European game, he's capable of hitting it. I'm sure ICU can shoot, he just doesn't need to be doing that much of it until he catches up to the speed of the college game.

Also...I saw where some were asking about Burnett and his PT...ole boy is gonna have to step up his game defensively in order to get his minutes back to where they were. He just seems to disappear on that end far too often. He's talented, but he needs to develop his whole game. We already know how deadly of a scorer he can be. Best thing we can do is be patient w/him.

Refreshing to listen to an actual coach conduct a post game interview. Love it, Coach L. Keep them W's coming.

Coach L really gets it. Very wise, confident and comfortable with who he is. Listening to him after a game, he reminds you have the rare professor/teacher who can take real difficult subject matter and break it down to where it's very understandable.

Wow...that looked like nothing at all. I didn't get to watch the game at all due to it being blacked out in my area. ****, it looks like Barber might have fallen into those fans, and the one fan might have lost balance, and braced himself on Barber to not fall. Looked like the fan apologized right away too.

I dunno. Looks like something to me we shouldn't have apologized so profusely for.

You didnt see it then. The fan clearly was trying to be tough and when Barber turned around the fan ****ed his pants. The guy should be ejected and suspeded from Hurricanes basketball games for the rest of the year. You dont do that.

I watched the linked video twice. Looked like it was straight from the telecast too. It probably shouldn't have happened, but it didn't look like a two-armed shove followed up by a mean-mug stance. Looked like a half-hearted one-handed push followed up by a two-handed "I didn't mean that" apology.

But, I wasn't there so I don't know. I'm just saying how it looked to me.
