I’m not commenting on Nickel’s talent. I’m making the comparison in their recruitment that, since Nickel’s ranking rose at the end, I personally believe Coleman’s stock should rise even higher.

Y’all totally misread that comment. So to be clear — I like both players and think Coleman is due for a big ranking bump like Nickel received at the end.

Brother than there's better ways to say it. Cause you literally brought up Coleman doing more with less. I suppose it's not necessarily a shot. But to me when you state one does more with less you're also saying the other did less with more. To be clear, Vernell Brown depending on the site was at the least a top 3 wr. Larry miles ain't chop liver either. They also didn't play a schedule on par with Milton either. Or get shut down throwing the ball (at least in the first half, don't remember where he ended up)in the state championship. They both had plenty of weapons and they both have plenty of upside. Let's just embrace we got two **** good young QBs

I feel that. And will keep that in mind. Coleman definitely had two studs at WR, but Nickel was playing with studs across the field — Braydon Jacobs, CJ Wiley, Ethan Barbour, Ty Redmond — last year alone.

Again, not knocking Nickel for having talent around him — there may have been a better way to phrase it — but it’s just a fact Nickel played with more high level D1 talent at Milton than Coleman does at Orlando based on where his teammates have ended up playing college ball in their respective classes. (Don’t want this to be misconstrued as “Milton is always better than Orlando.” Just saying specifically the teams these guys played on)

That’s not a bad thing. That’s just another reason why my point is — I feel Coleman deserves a big bump in ranking like what happened when people finally started recognizing Nickel for the talent he was displaying and not chocking it up to a bias of “he wins a lot on a great team.”

I only used Nickel cuz the board knows how he was underrated and got a bump at the end, but you could compare Coleman to other QBs around the county and use the same data point.

Coleman is proving on the field over and over again that he’s underrated.

Just the typical CIS obsession with height (and weight).

Just from those pictures and seeing him work out with Cam, I’m confident that by the time hes ready to play his sophomore year, he will be a legit 6.0 or just a shade above. Tall enough. That’s not even a thing to worry about.

And he has the arm.

What he has to do, like any quarterback his age, is continue to develop his mechanics, processing speed, leadership, etc, etc (Cam attributes). I have high hopes.

I have never stated an opinion of Nickel for this reason. Having the best surrounding talent and coaching matters to some degree. Not sure how much yet.

Understandable. Its basically nature vs nurture. Naturally gifted vs coaching/supporting cast.

Nickel preformed well against top tier competition, and he does do some things that you don't typically see from QBs his age. So I'm optimistic.

I don’t have a horse in this race either. Really like both players. I’m just surprised how some people can’t admit that Luke Nickel had way more talent around him than Coleman has had. That’s not hate. It’s just factual.

I'll give you your piece of mind then. Coleman has been doing all the 7 on 7 **** and going to all the camps. He is gonna get his boost not only from that but also he'll show people his measurables have become more desirable.

I hear you. He absolutely without question had the better supporting cast.

But he also played a ridiculous schedule.

Milton ran through #12 (in the nation) Buford, #20 American Heritage, #29 Lee County, #41 Langston Hughes and #84 Roswell.

It doesn't negate the talent advantage, but it does make a difference.

Compared to cam, coleman looks about 5’10-5’11 in cleats. He’s entering his senior year and is an active kid so he probably gets to cam’s height.

If he can see over the middle clear, if he can see over the oline clear and find the throwing windows like brees/bryce/tua/baker have then he’ll be fine. It’s really about his mechanics, i think he needs a little tweaking but he has a great foundation and hella time to go before he’s gonna be playing

Not saying one is better than the other either. But that Jones team was pretty much Coleman and Brown (who played both ways). Pretty poorly coached too.

DC did ALOT of heavy lifting.

For anyone who saw Nickel play, he certainly had great players on his team, but Nickel made difficult throws, and great decisions passing and running. He wasn’t throwing WR screens that went 70 yards for a TD. He was the best player on the best team in Georgia for 2 years running, and it wasn’t close, even with the talent around him.

In fact, I think the stronger argument is that Nickel made his receivers look better rather than the other way around (in reality it’s some of both). Nothing I have written is meant to argue for one QB over the other. My extremely strong and sincere hope is that both become studs in college and beyond.

Maybe this ends up wrong about Coleman but to me one of the important parts of both QBs is they are on board early and there’s gonna be no drama

Also I’m sure both will be well compensated but there’s no 10 mill offer last minute that’s gonna break the bank

It allows us to still have financial flexibility at QB for a portal veteran if necessary

Getting Nickel and Beck this year is actually a great scenario imo
