Whatever his size is, he’s been cooking top level talent all season.
He's been doing it since he was a freshman at AH. I remember the state title game against Central that year. He stood out. I couldn't believe he was a freshman. There's something to be said for a kid to play at AH as a freshman and stand out in such a big game.

I went to the Chaminade game earlier this season. Seating is on one side at Chaminade. I got there early and his family sat beside me. I was impressed with how they handled the times he wasn't getting touches. Never a complaint. Always supporting the team and other players. Very impressed with him and the family.

One thing I keep hearing about Toney: high IQ, high character football junkie with an aggressive play style. Exactly what you need at WR.

Yet another Team RAW 7on7 product headed to the Canes.
hes business like in his approach.

Kid is the goods if you check the last two weeks i have called him the #1 south florida wr based on his early szn work.

This is great ands seemed planned out since today is his birthday.

Love that we are getting him in earlier. Him and Upshaw are really producing. Now we can focus on some height at the wr position to close out.

I could not find speed numbers but 247 already has an update on him and Ivins said this:

"Size has not been third-party verified, but is believed to be hovering right around 5-foot-10.5, 180 pounds."

As a general rule I am with you against reclassifications. Anyone know if this is a true reclassification or if he started late and is already 17? I mean kid was a TF for Heritage put up 8 TDs and over 600 yards. If he is legit 14 years old putting those numbers up that is impressive. Im all for bringing him in, worst case he gets a year of college nutrition and can pack on good wait and be ready to roll as a RS Freshman which would technically be his true Frosh season.

I never saw them play at the HS level live but how does his game compare to Tank Dell or Elijah Moore?

On 247 Dell was listed as 5'10 160lbs. However at the combine he came in at 5'8 and 165lbs and ran a 4.49 40.

Moore measured in at 5'9.5 and 178lbs at the combine, didnt run the 40 though.

I think Toney at minimum compares to that now. Even if he is 5'9 160 measurables and speed look there. He is more quick than straight line fast and Dawson knew exactly how to use Dell and got em drafted in the 3rd round. Could very well be the outlier as opposed to the rule but I think height is overstated at the college game. Of course if you could have 4 calvin johnsons out there that is preferrable but I would hate to see another local like a Dell or Moore go elsewhere and put up video game numbers in college.

Toney is probably closer to 5'10 170-175 right now. And the comparison to Moore is good..i think he has better hands than Moore and tracks better on the deep ball. Moore is more dangerous with th eball in hands, Mali added muscle and is running through tackles and initiating contact heavily this year.

****, if that lol.
Nice player though, but these reclassifications always are eh to me. WR not so much as OL/DL but still not really a huge fan TBH.
You forget a lot of these kids missed a year due to COVID but I don’t know his age.

So he will turn 18 in the first month of his freshman year, and he is 5'11" and 180 pounds (pause). Sounds like a typical college freshman.

Ill Allow It Spanish GIF
He basically reclassified to his appropriate grade level based on the fact he would have been eligible at least where I live to start Kindergarten at the age of 4 since he would be turning 5 a couple of weeks into the school year.

that seems fine, and thanks for the input.

Also if today is truly his 17 bday that means at this time next year he will be 18 a few games into the season. That is exactly (to the day) the age I enrolled at Miami. My bday just made the cut years ago (2000's) now I think cutoff is November so he is legit less than 2 months behind his grade. Makes me feel better about the reclassification.

We lose four to graduation, plus Washington has moved to CB. We need five.
Which 4 do we lose to graduation? I know of Restrepo and George. Who are the other 2? I know Sam Brown is a redshirt junior and Isaiah Horton is a redshirt sophomore. Then Ray Ray Joseph is a true sophomore I believe. Shemar Kirk is a redshirt junior then we have the true freshmen in Jojo Trader, Ny Carr and Chance Robinson.

Do most turn 18 at the beginning of their freshmen year? Feel like most people I know started college already at 18. But I don’t have kids to know all the start windows and all that lol

Only this group would ***** and moan about a 4* WR reclassifying so he can get to UM quicker. Never seen a fanbase work so hard to degrade their own commits like this one.
One more big time guy in Dallas Wilson to compete the WR class

My birthday is in September and I turned 18 in my first semester of college. Think it happens a lot. When my kids were in school in Leon county the rule was that you had to turn 5 by 9/1 to attend kindergarten. My youngest has a late July birthday and was always one of the younger kids in her class. When I was in school in the dark ages, you had to turn 5 by 12/1 in Brevard county.

We'll definitely lose Restrepo and George.
I didn't know that Brown red-shirted, but he's 4 years in as well.
Michael Redding is also 4 years in, but probably has red-shirted at one point.
