It’s crazy how these kids still go to a school that’s already stacked knowing there probably be pined then there portal never understood this .

Going to a school that’s already stacked already has 5-6 a head of you a huge mystery

Maybe it’s the paparazzi
Thats college football, no kid is going in thinking im never gonna play here and i will transfer. Any legit p4 school u can have a bunch of guys ahead of you

Our conference handicaps us and will continue to do so. That’s the biggest factor by far. We can pull a stud here and there, but on par Mario has a much tougher job trying to convince elite kids to come play at Miami to compete against Cal, Duke, and Georgia Tech than anyone coaching in the B10 or SEC. We don’t have a single “big” home game this year.
There could be a recruit or two that consider that a factor. If that is the case, then nothing we can do.

we won playing big east teams.

South florid akids play in front of crowds of 300-400 most friday nights.

A "Big" game or atmosphere is mostly for the fans.

Us being in the Big 10 or sec doesnt change much....it only does for those that push the rhetoric u posted ...that "iT MeANS MORE" or whatever bs conferennce pushers do considering its just about Bama n GA int he sec and the **** Big 10 only been about OSU for 20+ years
There are 100 different reasons kids choose a certain school. We can't read all their minds but there are a few who yearn to play in front of big crowds every Saturday and that will never be the case at Miami.

Only our fans continue to cope like this lol, bama has ryan williams and other top talents but still have a top wr committed in this class.

Osu and Texas has probably gotten more top wr commits than anyone by far and they still have top wrs committed in this class. Its not a guarantee jojo carr and chance are good we have to keep stacking talent.

Did anyone say hey dont recruit lamar thomas we have wrs here already, dont recruit andre we already wrs..Since when are we against stacking talent no matter who is here?…

And no im not saying toney would be an all time great here for u idiots that will think that lol im just making an example
True. Ohio State seemingly has 12 five star wide receivers on their roster, yet add three or four more each year. Of course, when that happens it’s lauded because “that kid has that alpha dog mentality; he doesn’t care if a billion ten star players are ahead of him - he knows that he’s gonna beat them all out regardless.”

Ditto with Texas. Entire wide receiver room are four and five star players. Almost all are first or second year players. But no worries, multiple five star players want to go there.

Yet Miami could be down Restrepo, George, Horton, and Brown next year and have a Larry Coker sized wide receiver room…ie punters are welcome…and we can’t get players because they’re worried that we have three first year players on the team? The ENTIRE STARTING LINEUP is potentially up for grabs next year and nothing is set. Geesh.

The skill position recruiting is at least A LITTLE BIT concerning. I know Trader and Ny Carr were both Top 100 guys and Jordan Lyle and Mark Fletcher are both solid. But it has mostly been meh. Relying on the portal feels risky too. Not a lot of top-end talent at that position in the portal.
Huh ?? Man yall dudes are funny

I disagree …it’s all about development and helping these kids become high draft picks imo

We can complain about it or we can recruit QBs and WRs that make the league and it becomes a yearly thing. We've all seen the stat that miami hasn't had a drafted QB but once in over 20 years. We can't name a WR that was a first rounder outside Dorsett. So we need to take this Ward year and continue it so that WRs come here. If you had a top kid like Jeremiah Smith, are you taking a risk with his career just cause you like Miami? Its a business. Lets hope we are fixing this **** now.

The same people crying about receiver recruiting are the same people who said he was a Smurf receiver and how he’s 170 pounds etc. some are only happy when they are complaining. You know who you are.

This is weird. Upshaw is flirting with Auburn and ultimately will end up there. That state is brutal. Carr and Trader are studs. I happen to think Robinson can develop. We need receivers and my guess is they will expand, like other kids better on film, and will hit the portal. Very strange thing. I thought he reclassified to get here and get ready. Alabama visit or not, it’s strange.

This certainly is like sitting on your own balls. Hurts like a mother lover and you wanna blame someone else.

It’s not a kid or two. It’s the majority of the top dogs. Take a look at where they end up. If Miami announced that it was joining the SEC next year, Mario would have top 5 recruiting classes in perpetuity. Crowds matter. Stadiums matter. Competition matters. Big games matter. These kids want to be part of the show.

Not to mention, with the transfer portal, anyone of these kids could be gone. We should be fine if Mario delivers through the portal like he did this year, but a 22 or 23 portal haul would be a setback. In general, can’t question Mario on the trail. Sure he had those portal blips but he should always driver a top 10 haul.

Going into 23, we thought Kelly and Wayne along with Bain would be the foundation of our front 4 and then we lost 2 of the 3.
