This young man is the steal of this class. He will be a dude for us. Reminds me of the class with Elijah Moore and Mark Pope. Most people were enamored with Pope because he was rated a 5-Star, even though he wasn’t very productive in high school. Moore jumped off the screen on his film. He was electric with the ball in his hands. Many posters back then said that we didn’t need to recruit Moore hard because we had Pope committed. That turned out to be a big mistake.

Stars don’t mean *****, unless you prove it on the field of play. Dylan has proven that he’s a must get, and his rating means squat. Amari Cooper wasn’t super highly rated until Saban went after him and landed his commitment. Then Alfredo Golden was way too late to the party after not making him a priority prospect at his camp, even though everyone and their momma could tell that he was a baller.

Evaluation over stars. We have great talent evaluators now and developers, in my opinion. Horton is exhibit A. Dude’s potential is now translating on the field of play, and he’s a budding star.

I haven’t fully dove in on every commit, but from what I have watched this kid may be my favorite in the class. Definitely between him, Nickel, Schott, and Buchanan

…**** that’s a lot of first guy in last guy out gym rat coaches sons
