Probably said that because he didn’t kick the 2 FG’s in the GT game that would have won the game. Very poor decision making in both cases.
As a Cuse fan I was just curious to see what Coach had to say...as well as fans. Coach complained about penalties!!! wow thats rich..we had 14 points taken off the board...ghost penalties according to opposite bias tv broadcasters. But i dont need to talk bad about your coach you got it covered.

If you let a analytics chart tell you what to do on that 4th down. You have absolutely no feel for the game and you are a horrible game day decision maker.

That has nothing to do with my post bud.
This is what ALL these coaches do nowadays, AI prints a script out for them before games. very few, if any HC actually do anything in game by feel anymore.
Analytics might be his saving grace lol. 50-50 shot at being right. Versus the alternative of “ manalytics”
I'm sure those heroes were doing the lords work, may those brave souls and their families be blessed this holiday season.

It has everything to do if you would think... The FG was correct choice in that situation. Either way we had to stop them at least once. Kick FG + Stop them and then we can win with a TD. Instead you want to go for TD (not guaranteed) to tie the game and then had to stop their pass attack which we had no chance of doing. God forbid we didn't score the TD, we had to stop them + score a TD to just tie it.
But that's not what I was raging about. I don't care about arguing the call. I care that a grown man in his 50's who has been in and around the game his entire life doesn't have the football IQ to reason out the tactical situation in his own mind using his own thinking but instead defaults to an analytics chart. Then when the media asks him why he kicked the fg he replies that it's what the chart said to do. That's just lame. It's laughable.
As far as the call in concerned I don't agree with you at all. What we had to do was tie the game then go all out aggressive on defense so either Syracuse scores quickly or we get a stop or a turnover. In the event they score quickly we still get the ball with enough time to score the tying TD and force OT.
We kicked the FG so we need the ball back and need a TD. If we go for it and score then the game is tied with 3:30 left. If we don't score, then we still need a TD but they get the ball on the 9 yard line. Put the ball in the hands of the best qb in the nation and the #1 offense.
We can just agree to disagree.
