Just reading an online draft report on Matt Lee and to paraphrase, here are some strengths and weaknesses:

Strengths:
good strength, good fundamentals including positing his body in the right angles, quick feet, may project as an OG in the NFL.

Weaknesses:
May set too tall, a bit underpowered as a run blocker and often comes off the ball too high, not so much the mauler type,

Scouts probably watched the tape against A&M and Walter Nolan closely. To my untrained eye they sound accurate

Hopefully he comes back and M&M help smooth out his technique

Bryant McKinnie and whatever line he is on would be the best

That O line the best one I've ever seen at the school. They had guys from all over the world from Iran to Canada. I wanna say they were known as the United Nations but I'm not 100. The line with Leon Searcy was pretty good too

Because kids make dumbass decisions in order to get early PT or more money all the time.
I get what you mean. I didn’t take your post as you criticizing guys like Kinsler or McCoy specifically moreso just the nature of how college football seems to work these days

Smart kids would stick around and wait their turn with coaches that can develop them but who knows

OL room is suddenly pretty stacked

Don't forget that was against Temple. Thomas Gore looked like Warren Sapp in that game. Ryan Rodriguez undersize for a center. Kid got heart but we gotta do better then him if Lee leaves
Got it, but he's a center. Also, he's a freshman and will continue to grow.

Maybe he was hurt, but Rodriguez was pushed all over the field during the Spring game.

The irony about Zion is that I feel like we wrecked his career by rushing him. SMH. Kid added over 50 pounds in a year and we rush him out to play against Florida. I was against starting him all the way until year 3 when I saw he was finally maturing into his body and developing into a legit pass and run blocker. Then he gets injured and all the Zion is the Gawd rats jump ship and scuttle it on their way out.
If you remember we had NOBODY at LT. We didn't want to start a 255 lb. Freshman 2 star, we HAD to. He was a turnstyle the whole freshman year but we just didn't have another body.

Yep lol. I was surprise that he looked pretty solid against Temple. But his not a big guy, only listed at 275 and I take the under. Who knows maybe he takes over at center but I would feel a lot better if we brought in somebody else

3 centers got drafted in the first two rounds of the draft. If he's a top 3-4 ranked center, he'll be a day 2 pick.
