UF commit Shawn Davis reaches out to Miami

CanesInSight has learned that Miami safeties coach Ephraim Banda met with Shawn Davis all of Friday afternoon at Southridge.

Davis is a UF commit who was supposed to enroll last week, but was not able to qualify early. He reached out to Banda this week. Sources tell CanesInSight that Davis' family and DB coach believes that UF has handled the situation poorly, opening the door for the Canes. Davis is likely to take an official to Miami with his family over the next two weeks.

One more important note -- I'm told that Banda has met with administrators at Southridge about Davis' situation, as well as his aunt, who is a UM grad.

I also think that they may have done this to try to **** with Richt's board.

If all of a sudden Davis says he wants in, then they gotta start scrambling. Maybe, just maybe, they would have had to not take a kid that was a take because Davis is a better prospect. Then Davis would have shytted on the U hat on national TV on signing day for all to see. Therefore ******** us x2.

Just my hypothesis.

I'll add this....prob another good reason why they added Cooney to the staff....especially if he got wind of him trying to pull some sh*t and alerted CMR. This is why you need guys like him on staff

pete pretty much confimred my harley story. today he said they were "always" "expecting" this visit. kind of a change of tune compared to waht has been said since he suposedly "shut down"

I thought this was about Davis? You keep bringing up Harley... I don't think anyone is buying you as an insider.

Yeah, this is definitely a good possibility, in my opinion.

Davis would have made Cooney look like ****. Not a good look any way you slice it.

I agree. It's totally illogical. If that was the case, why would Davis come out and deny it so fast? Wouldn't he just let it the madness go on?
