don’t forget to glaze these players more every spring and fall buddy. This program is a joke and always will be a joke. Number 4 team and can’t beat a 5-4 team and could barely beat Louisville cal Va tech.
Ban this POS

This morning, every last PoRster on this board would have said Miami wins easily even if GT scores 28.
Would we know they held the ball almost 40 minutes and having the second longest drive in school history ? Btw that’s an incredible stat especially knowing Paul Johnson was there forever and how run heavy that program has been for decades.

Story for me today’s is we couldn’t score 29 against GT.

We’re 10 games in. I have precisely zero expectations of this defense. In fact, they didn’t give up as many as I thought they might.

The offense let us down today. Cam and the O make us go. Rather, we go as they go.

Too many missed opportunities and stalled drives. And to your question about separation, there were definitely plays to be made…but we got locked up a lot too. There was an end zone view replay at one point and all four of our WRs were stuck to a db. Not good.

Whoever is deleting my posts for some idiotic reason could DM me and provide a reason why.

Did you watch the game today? You can't beat a team with a one armed QB and their starting RB out after the second series. You can't tackle in space. Syracuse has a significantly better offense. Who needs to stop smoking here? That game reeks of a potential 2017 Pittsburgh-esq game.
This defense isn't Miami's O equivalent, and by that I mean "hold any opponent with a pulse to under 10-14 points".

That is reality.

So contending with that reality, Miami's O must score at least 28+ every single game to gave a chance at tbe dub dub.

Why waste energy getting upset over that?

Miami is a good team, I would argue not a good++ team and certainly not a great or elite team because the defensive secondary situation is King of Suck Donkey Balls Mountain.

Unfair pressure on Miami's O to have to ruck the march every game, but it is the reality.

We’re never, ever going to win the ACC. There will always be a team that over performs. This year it’s SMU. Next year it will be Georgia Tech. Two years from now it will be Virginia Tech. And so on and so on.
The consistent path to ACCCG: win every single ACC game.

There is no magic and well within control of our Miami Hurricanes.

Serious question. With Guidry knowing what GT was going to do why were there no changes? **** UGA went to a 5-2 last week against UF to stop the run. We do the same things over and over and expect different results. What effort is Guidry putting in? Because there’s no way our guys look as unprepared as they do every week.

The team's record is more accurate than it was yesterday. I wish we got away with it, but we didn't this time. You only have so many comebacks. My knee-jerk thoughts:

- The defense is the story for me. We gave up 271 yards rushing to a team with no QB and no RB. We lost time of possession 35 minutes to 25 minutes. We gave up 9 of 14 third downs. On a critical 3rd and 18, we couldn't win up front and left someone running wide open. It was a bad day.

Here's the frustrating part: Guidry had more cards to play than his opponent, and still lost. That's not just a talent issue. I thought the defense would start creeping towards average over the last four games, but we're going in the opposite direction.

- My biggest disappointment is the defensive end position. Before the season, we all knew our secondary would be a weakness. The hope was we'd kill just enough drives with our pass rush. That hasn't panned out consistently. Zero sacks today. Pass rush opportunities were limited, but part of the reason is that the edges were so soft that Georgia Tech controlled down and distance. We just don't perform like a team with two NFL DEs.

- Cam Ward is still the best player in the country. No serious person would compare him to Dillon Gabriel. But he was off today. Missed throws early and struggled with his pocket presence. He had checkdowns available for chunk plays that he consistently turned down. He's the least of my worries, but it wasn't his best day.

- The only bright light was OJ Frederique. That's what a playoff-caliber defensive back looks like. We don't have enough of them.

- If I could bring a recent player back, it might be Jaquan Johnson. We lack a tone-setter in the back seven. The guys that know how to play aren't twitchy, and the guys that are twitchy are either injured or green. Teams are going to continue to challenge our perimeter tackling, and I don't know if we have an answer.

- I didn't mind the decisions to go for it on fourth down. That's who we've been all year. The playcalls and execution are fair to question, but I like trusting the guys who got us here.

- Elijah Arroyo is a high-round NFL pick. Difference-making speed at his size.

- We didn't have a terrible day with penalties (3-35) but it could have been more if a couple targeting calls and a facemask went the other way. This has been a problem all year.

- It's a shame that Popo Aguirre got injured, because he was playing really good football in a LB group that is taking steps backwards. Teams are continuing to take advantage of Kiko Mauigoa in space.

- I'd like to see the All-22 to see how much separation our receivers were getting. We will continue to get challenged by teams with athletic corners.

- I hate that we have to worry about other ACC teams losing. We've been here before and it always ends poorly. But we are in a strong position compared to the past. Most tiebreaker scenarios favor us.

This team needs to get value out of the bye week and handle its business. The goal remains an ACC Championship. I'm less optimistic on the defense than ever, but the offense will give us a chance. Go Canes.

Does the tiebreaker favor us if we lose to Syracuse? We might lose 3 more games

Guidry is awful… his defense is exposed and he has no answers. He’d make the 01 or 03 defense look average…

I have to be honest. I never loved the hire but I dont want to hear players. when I see robby, Pruitt, and chase flying around making plays yet they dont gtet alot of burn, it annoys me.

overall though, name me the kind on this roster who are surefire NFL talents? Francis is the only one imo.

At this moment, Miami isn't likely to make ACCCG nor CFPO.

Emotionally prepare for this reality.

This is flat wrong. At this moment, Miami is absolutely likely to make the ACCCG. They have 2 games to play that they’ll be favored in. If they win both, they will be in the ACCCG. That’s the definition of likely.

Making the playoff would require beating SMU. That one I’ll leave alone for now. But getting to Charlotte, as of this moment, is absolutely likely.

I don't even know what you are talking about. You said I was smoking, I'm asking you, why are you so confident that we are going to beat a much better offensive team on the road when you can't play defense against a team that ran very basic stretch plays on you with a one armed QB? Top it off, Ga Tech's pass D is not good. You made this team, Cal, Duke, and VA Tech look like effing world beaters on offense. Miami is not skilled enough to take anyone lightly

Spot on post, at this point I wouldn't be opposed to moving Bain inside and getting Pickett more reps. Baron was horrible today, he couldn't set the edge because he was undisciplined. Barron going down hurt, also what was frustrating was watching our guys congratulating Moten on the sideline after the targeting call. This loss has been long overdue, we're lucky we have the best player in the country as our QB. These last two games aren't gimmes for this team.
