1. It's already collapsed.
2. It's only going to get worse.
3. Coaches never survive this sort of cyclone of negativity.
4. Folden is finished.

P.S. Pete does a good job, but he's guessing just like the rest of the fanbase. Study history. Was it this negative this early in Coker or Shannon's final seasons? Not even close. The team's going to quit even harder on Folden. This is a full death spiral.

Totally true and I think the Board of Trustees see this but are financially powerless to stop it. My guess is that golden's buyout is in the $6-7 million range. For that reason the BoT is doing what they're doing by trying to float some anonomous statements in support of golden. They're trying to salvage some kind of ticket sales this season while watching the clock til dude's buyout drops into an affordable range.

Sorry...but it was the same BOT or whatever leadership committee that made the decision to PREMATURELY EXTEND Golden and in that act I'm sure they self imposed a buyout on themselves.

These are their sins. They should make amends and fix the **** storm they created via a foolish decision.

I'm done with this program until change happens. I'm not even kidding. No homes games or season tickets, no apparel , no traveling to away games. If they don't give a **** about the program....none of us should either.

Al making staff changes is like trying to put lipstick on a pig and delaying the inevitable. It's a problem that's deeper than just firing Dorito and maybe some others. It's an Al Golden problem. It's not ending happily every after for him here whether that's the end of this season or down the road.

This is just a thought, but my guess would be that if the season continues to collapse the way it has been, this will all be a moot point and he will be fired regardless. We're 3-3 and he's teetering on the edge of being fired already. There's a lot of moving and shaking left to go before this all shakes out and it is far from over.

I swear I am DONE if Golden is back with a new defensive coordinator.

But would you also consider it "DUN?"

Jesus H. Christ, Al Golden is just retarded enough to lose Tim Irvin, not even Randy would've lost a legacy player like Irvin, and now all of a sudden he wants to fire D'onofrio, too little, too late

Al Golden is just Trolling us all at this point

I mean, I'm all for a good mob with pitch forks, but Randy did lose a legacy here or there.

No respectable D Coordinator worth a **** will come here with a HC who is on the hottest of hot seats.

The writing is on the wall on how this should end. Scrap the whole ******* thing and bring in someone whom the fan base can really get behind. No more Dollar store HC.

I disagree. If it's a guy who thinks he could be the next coach why not. Come here for a season or so, learn the ins and outs of the program and area, and prime theirself to take over. Winston Moss I could see doing this and he already knows the program.

The problem is Al won't hire a guy who just might help push his fat *** out the door.

Then you're out of your mind. When have you ever seen what you described happen? Never.

I agree Los, but we could possibly get a guy like Jim Leavitt who has some baggage and wants to get his career back on track. That's about the only kind of hire I would respect right now. That or for some crazy reason Butch wants to come back as a DC.

I don't buy for a second that UM couldn't pay off fat fck's buyout. You don't sign a contract that you can't get out of.

Right on. And another thing is that even if Golden did hire a competent DC, would it make the team that much better? No. First off, the offense, while serviceable against average teams, has repeatedly **** the bed against good teams. That's a symptom of Golden's philosophy and approach that will never go away as long as he is coach. I think since 2012, their only good performance against a good D was Virginia Tech in 2012. Everything else has been horse ****. And even if you did get this DC, could the DC change the program's philosophy from "hope the other team makes a mistake" to "dominate them and pound their ****s in the ****ing dirt?" No, he couldn't. And that's the problem with Golden, more than anything. His approach to football simply doesn't work at UM, and it goes way deeper than X's and O's.

The annals of college football history are full of fired head coaches who made last ditch efforts to save their jobs by hiring coordinators. It just doesn't work and it's not sustainable. No program should be reliant on a ****ing coordinator. It's an absurd notion.

THIS!

No offense, but I don't believe Aziz has any legit sources about the future of this coaching staff. It is likely however that Golden will survive and be our coach in 2015, I think the Shapiro BS buys him at least one more year. As far as a new DC goes, the perfect candidate is in Gainesville, bring in Muschamp after Florida runs him off.

And quadruple LULZ at this whole sudden notion that Folden is now unhappy with Dorito.

He was ok with us being ranked in the 100s defensively the last couple years. Now that we're in the top 20 he can't stand Dorito.

What kind of bootyhole buys that dopey **** without questioning it? Use your fcking heads instead of listening to carrier pigeons who are being used to disseminate an asinine message with no logical underpinnings to quell the rabid masses.

they don't get along. UF were one the main offenders of negatively recruiting miami. The 1st being urban and Ohio state.

Maybe so... Probably more wishful thinking on my part. He has seemed to hire guys with ties to the community for recruiting purposes, ie Coley, Harris, Kehoe... While I agree he wouldn't want to hire someone that may take his job, if they are going to force his hand making a change, just maybe they will force his hand in who he hires...

Honestly..... If he's ****ed at Marky D and its AL's defense... **** it... Fire him Now and take over the Defense... why wait?...

Show us that you do know how to coach...

If not... then I don't know if I trust Al with bringing in Someone who could save his job especially if That person if he does a Credible job... All Would be looking over his shoulder... he already does with Coley. Puts the offense down every chance he can get - yet sucks off Marky D

This. Al doesn't want to win as much as he wants things done 'his way'. He's not hiring anyone who could take job. He's finally parting ways his bff who he should of fired 2 seasons ago. He's in survival mode.

Two more losses to 7-5. They fire the black guy in year 4 for 7-5 but the white guy gets a pass.

The ENTIRE athletic department needs to be canned. School makes me sick.

They fired the white guy before they fired the black guy before they hired the white guy they are going to fire. The problem is?
