I'm not questioning Rattler because he was in a difficult position. He's a diehard Cane fan and a relative to a top notch recruit that was being heavily recruited by his favourite team among many other suitors.

But, if you're as close to Tyson as you say you are (which I believe) you should feel comfortable picking up the phone and asking him what his intentions are. End the drama!

I don't think Rattler is as hysterical as our fanbase is. Signing day is less than a month away we'll all find out soon enough and only when he signs the papers will the drama end.

He's frequently on a CanesInsight just like the rest of us. If you're coming to a site like this, it's because you want the details before the decision is made. You call it hysterical.. I'm going to choose to call it passionate

So he not comin?

But Pete said......

But Rattler winked once....

**** fools

Maybe you should start your own website and we'll all just follow everything you say.

Thing is.... You would.

I'm not being critical of Pete or Rattler.......

Sorry, thought you were calling them fools. And I wouldn't blindly follow; Pete has proven his worth a million times over. He never said TC was coming, just that we were in the lead.

We're good. Lots of blinded followers here. I get my hopes up too. Posters need to lend an eye to what Chise and Geta are saying........

Blame Rumph all you want but make sure you blame a lot of yourselves and most of your neighbors for making this the softest part of the country for a kid to leave to go play for some hilljack supported SEC team.

There's ZERO fear in ANY of these kids or their families about leaving here (and often outright disrespecting Miami as they do so). And I'm not talking stupid **** like fear of violence (even though Michael Irving said that'd have been the case for him) but just plain ol' fear of mass disappointment and social blowback.

Soooo go ahead and call for Rumph's head but make sure y'all hold every clown wishing every local kid well while sayin' "God bless! Go get yours!" and "You can rep da 305/954 anywhere!" to the same standard as they're just as much of the problem.

Can you imagine a kid at Tuscaloosa High throwing a Bama hat down at his signing day ceremony like the linebacker from Deerfield Beach did a few months ago? Or straight up goofing on them in a video like Jobe did?

Exactly. No. Him and his family actually would need police protection. We send them well wishes.

Rumph was sending "congrats, bro!" messages to Marco Wilson when he chose UF over us. And Rick is busy pumping up UGA before the NC game. It's a Planter's Peanut way of life, Tad.

This brings us back full circle to Rick not having a killer's mentality. Play down to lesser teams, and don't run up the score when you're ahead. It's easy to see where UGA fans frustrations stem from

We have two stud CB's - Ivey & Blades, potentially a 3rd if Gilbert if he stays at CB (if he does, the best physical traits out of anyone available), and a stud safety in Hall. Of course we want Campbell, but let's not pretend Campbell is some make or break recruit.

"Don't worry about losing Dalvin Cook guys, we got a stud RB in Joe Yearby!"

Ugh thag was the worst. "Dalvin wasnt even the starter. Yearby was" lol

If Richt doesn't fire Rumph, then I will start to question his killer mentality.

cambell never commited, so why would he feel the need to let the coaches know in person? if he was decommiting, that would be standup. but hes not even commited...so if he was on campus that would make zero sense to let the coaches know he aint coming.

We just got the details - it's not looking good. The decision hasn't been made so what would he stand to gain from bothering his family? Would he stand to gain your approval?

"DB Tyson Campbell: The trends here are not in Miami’s favor at all. Georgia has been coming on strong for months, obviously and it’s safe to say they hold the lead for him. I spoke to a source who was with Chatfield (Campbell’s teammate) for almost the entire weekend, and there are no indications at all that the Canes have a good shot. UM is not counting on him being in this class right now. That’s not necessarily the update Canes fans want to hear, but it is reality."

If I recall correctly weren't Tyson, Surtain, Chatfield and Silvera supposed to visit the U together a little while back?

I started to ge real uneasy when in the recent past Chatfield said he was visiting alone.
So did I when I read Chatfield was coming alone.

But if we can land Silvera, Briggs and Chatman that will be excellent.

I was told I was a pessimistic b*tch that needed to chill by Bukkake Brock and the White Knights when I brought it up... but here we are... (and yes, that would be excellent)

Rumph could be a good secondary coach but he is not a good recruiter. After last year recruiting class was in, I remember reading in one of his interviews him admitting he needs to change some of the ways he was recruiting kids. I guess he hasn't made positive change yet.

Adrian Colbert says hello.

Adrian Colbert was probably the fastest guy on the roster at 6'+ with good agility and a great mindset for corner. There are a lot of coaches who would've had success with Adrian Colbert. The fact that he did nothing at Texas is an indictment of Texas' program, not some proof that Rumph is a miracle worker. I've seen nothing at all to make me think that Rumph is this fantastic DB technician who's making chicken salad out of chicken **** as some like to portray. There were lots of times the secondary just didn't get the job done against the Wisconsin and Pitts of the world, let alone Clemson/Bama level programs. You can debate the reasons why but the bottom line is we need a gigantic talent infusion, and we just whiffed on a ton of South Florida studs 2 years in a row.

This narrative that he handled his recruitment well is a little off. While not Jobe at all he strung the staff along too long while we didn’t prioritize others. This Rumph as his father figure story is getting thinner by the moment. If you’re father figures job reflects on your activity then you make that decision early. And stop with this he wanted to make a good decision. Did he not go to Athens before? Did he not talk to the coaches and players before? Ohh I get it, it’s when he tried on the uniform.....right. These sofla kids have been brainwashed. Strike out on the local kids but elite oos kids come. Crazy.

I will take that haul minus Campbell everyday and twice on Sundays!

Adrian Colbert was an athletic freak. He was probably the fastest guy on the roster at 6'+. There are a lot of coaches who could've had success with Adrian Colbert. Corn Elder was a great college football player. The other CBs we've had have been OK, nothing at all to make me think that Rumph is this fantastic DB technician who's making chicken salad out of chicken **** as some portray. They aren't guys who win games vs Wisconsin, let alone Clemson.
We're also talking about his recruiting. Nobody is denying he's at least a decent coach, but when you reside in a pool of elite DB talent year after year and you're not getting the elite then something's gotta give.

Probably a dumb question - but are we completely out of it for Surtain?

We needed Campbell....

Clearly, but if is was a choice between him and those DTs, I take the DTs every time. How many NCs or even wins over Miami did Deion bring to FSU? Is Campbell better than him? I want the kid but the we can win it all without him. We can’t do crap without the DTs.

I'm a super hopeful guy in general, and I think we should and can get everybody. But when the writing is so clearly on the wall (Rumph being the worst recruiter in history), you have to acknowledge it.

Cant afford to miss on the best DBs in the Country in our own backyard.

What is the disconnect between Rumph and HS players. It doesn't make any sense

He's a very good coach, but when you're not closing the deals recruiting wise it may be time to move on.

First of all, defensive great teams always have start with the defensive line. Put massive pressure on the QB and stop the run then the team wins. Yes, Campbell was a big loss but obviously he wants to play elsewhere and Rumph couldn’t stop that. This is an 18 year old kid who wanted to explore his options and he did. Not every kid wants to play for the hometown team. Let’s face it, this coaching team collapsed the past 3 games while Georgia did the opposite. I have 3 kids and went through the years of making decisions that others see irrational. Kids make crazy sometimes impulsive decisions and as parents we don’t like that but just think of your life. Campbell has handled himself like a true gentleman and good luck. We still have a great class with or without him.Stop the total blame game on Trump but Richt gets a full pass?
