I have said since I saw Branch his freshman year that if he portaled, we should be working hard to land him. His brother being a S and us losing several out of the room and needing another body in that room is just gravy on top.

Really hope we land him. I want Branch here more than I ever wanted Concepcion.
Especially after seeing KC with all those stupid a$$ TikTok bathroom dancing videos...gave me Flashbacks of all the unserious Cane players during some of the bad seasons more concerned about gas station pics and posting their highlights after losing games

Gonna get max $$ anywhere he goes no need for leverage, more like lets go visit south beach and have fun on Miami
Back in the days of Alabama and the SEC giving not so secret bags to players, I could see this. But with the NIL now and the amount of money and agents involved, this is a business trip.

Who has fun on South Beach anyway? They are not coming to hang out on the beach. Mario and the staff have them here on business and must have something planned we don't know about.

Mario may not be Bill Walsh or Knute Rockne, but he does love his school and doesn't play those kind of games. Those two are here because we have something to sell other than Emory Williams.

It is a beautiful day in the 305 today.

There are better pro prospects available, but the better brother - Zachariah - is a nice college player. Just very smol with production that could have been generated by anybody.

Vegas is Southern California's gentrification destination for displaced families...so I can't help but think Zachariah is more along the lines of a Black Mamba Thomas type of player after federal and state income taxes. Smaller than ever listed, productive but a role player. That's a cool player and a name in college sports...but its not exactly a valuable player that changes your offense. Nice role player with + upside for big plays, plus he plays specials, which we need (Ray Ray is a null out there).

The Brother intrigues me and should provide plenty of snaps at safety.

BOGO offer here is nice, fills two needs...but I do question the upside. I don't see these two as All-Conference types outside of Zach's special teams prowess.

I like Concepcion as a player. But I also paid attention to how much of a b!tchboy he was against us when we played NC State 2 years ago. He made plays, but he wouldn't STFU. He was their version of Jacolby George, just a whinier one.

If that number is real, whoever it is i still think that's insane lmao
Oh! I absolutely agree with you. 100%. At 6 million, that dude can't lay an egg anywhere he goes. I believe, when healthy, he is a 1st round QB. But that kind of money means a team is panicking.

The Holiday dead period is now over, and the Miami Hurricanes have some big-name visitors on campus. USC transfers WR Zachariah Branch and S Zion Branch are in Miami today.

THe 5'10, 175-pound Zachariah is one of the most dynamic players in the country, with a 10.33 100M, 21.01 200M, 24-0 long jump and 46-4.25 triple jump. He was an All-American punt returner as a freshman with two TDs, and amassed 47 receptions, 503 yards and a TD this season as a receiver.

His brother Zion is a 6'2, 210-pound safety who made 15 tackles with 3 passes deflected and a sack in 2024. He missed 2022 with an injury from fall camp. He was also injured late in 2023, which ended that season.

The brothers were the first college football players to sign an NIL deal with Jordan Brand. They have NFL royalty in their family, as their great uncle is Raiders legend Cliff Branch. In their free time, the brothers created the Branch Out Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth initiatives including homelessness, after-school programs, health and wellness as well as other charitable causes.

I am surprised Dennis Smith allowed them to set foot on campus…..

For being a supposed 10.33 guy in HS, I know that's elite speed, but I am expecting him to pull away more from Utah on this one. I know he had an ankle and do wonder if he was not 100% last year.

Agree with the poster that said hes not wasting his time visiting unless something was told to him regarding a potential QB coming.. These kids are smart..im sure he googled' Emory highlights and LOL'd out of his seat. Hes not coming here to have Emory throw him the ball. So something is brewing and Mario must have let him in on the secret. Branch doesnt have time to play around and take "vacation/courtesy/leverage" visits. All business.
