Short one today but a couple key updates:

- Miami is continuing to trend very positively for WR Jaime Ffrench (Jacksonville). The visit the past weekend went extremely well and Miami is being aggressive. Ffrench is a priority target.

- Things are heating up with DB Bryce Fitzgerald (Columbus). He worked out as a corner at Miami's camp and impressed everyone. While some on the forums are understandably concerned about his 100M time (11.5), he posted one of the fastest forty times in the Southeast on the lasers (4.48) and is considered one of the most athletic players in the state by local coaches.

- Miami recently landed a commitment from Chaminade DT Donta Simpson. His age (16), size (6'4, 295 and growing) and dominant performance at camp rocketed his name up the priority list. But I'm told Miami is still hunting at defensive tackle. As first reported on the Bank, NC State commit DT Mykah Newton (Newberry, FL) has jumped up the board. He visited last weekend and remains a target. Miami will continue working to land prospects like Newton, Elijah Griffin (Savannah, GA) and Derry Norris (Georgia Tech commit).

- DE Iose Epenesa (Edwardsville, IL) is a tough one to read. That's not unusual- SJ Alofaituli was the same way before committing to Miami- but I don't think anyone knows what he's going to do. Miami remains in strong contention.

- I am told the most impressive position the first few days has been defensive line. The veterans, the new additions and the freshmen all look the part.

Hopefully, Jaboree is helping & putting a good word in for us.

Would be an ultimate recruiting victory to pull not one, but two high caliber Corners outta Louisiana right from under LSU's grasp.

@DMoney can you clarify on the DL comment, how specifically are the DTs stacking up? I know Barrow is impressing. How's the NC State transfer looking? Anyone else turning heads? ... In your podcast, you didn't mention Russell. Something up there?

ITU mentioned that Anthony Campbell appears to be developing nicely.

There’s nothing impressive about Russell. 3-4 year development piece in my opinion

I wasn't a fan of the take either. I am just surprised he covered everyone else but not DR. I notice those things.

That was really just an aside. I'm much more interested in knowing if Clark is the real deal? If Barrow can be better than LT and Clark better than JH, with the Bain and Mesidor moving inside on passing downs, we would have the foundation for a ACC championship year, IMO..

Love hearing about Campbell. Need to see it to believe it. I also want to see if Horton can ever get off the IR and if it's really true what D$ said that Moten may be taking that next step. Lots of "ifs". Hopefully a couple of them turn out to be facts.

I won't count us out for kids that we offer earlier than other schools at this point. We were first to offer Jaboree and I think the same or close to it for Anding.
