Some quick hitters today:

- I was told that there may be fireworks within the next seven days or so. Nothing specific. Some will remember last two times I got cryptic messages like that: the commitments of Cormani McClain and Collins Acheampong.

- Get the impression it’s 50/50 with TE Davon Mitchell (Los Angeles). Don’t think he’s made up his mind yet. Miami is in it.

- I continue to like Miami for OT Deryc Plazz (Jacksonville). Coaches love his flexibility and frame at 6’5, 290. He was underdeveloped his first few years of high school and has a lot of untapped upside, which is why NFL OL hotspots like Penn State and NC State were so high on him.

- I think recruiting analysts are too quick to project CB Zavier Mincey (Dayton Beach) to Florida. Miami and FSU have a very strong shot.

- Don’t count Miami out with DE Elias Rudolph (Deerfield Beach). The Canes are still after the Michigan commit.

- Miami continues to have good communication with OL Isendre Ahfua (Seattle) and they like their position.

- Miami is also having very good conversations with DE Dylan Stewart (Washington DC.) I didn’t get the sense anything was imminent, but the Canes feel they are right in it despite reported Ohio State buzz.

- Miami is building momentum with two big names: S Zaquan Patterson (Chaminade) and LB Chris Cole (Salem, VA).

Much more positive updates here. I like these WAY better.

Some big updates in there

Ahfua is exactly what we need on OL. Patterson has to be a Cane we just can’t miss that (same as Cole)

If Addae could beat out Raymond for Mincey, that would be much needed
I really think Kam helps with Patterson. Meaning he see’s a SFLA safety stayed home and became an 1ST TEAM AA. Just goes to show if you put the work in. It can still happen no matter where you attend. Now if we’re not winning then that’s another story.
