Thats what I was gonna say I grew up around polys. (tongans,Samoans) I think he would put his team first there very loyal people. He gonna get his NFL bag. We offered him enough to sign here as a 5* and I'm sure the pitch was Mario an Mirabal getting him where he needs to be. Sure he will fo what's best for the team an not have in back of his head oh I'm leaving cause the move me to guard for a year.

Tackle is more important than Guard. And Why would Mauigoa want to move?

Generally not the best plan to move your freshman all American OT to Guard. Id move Rivers before Mauigoa personally.
the ol coach simply said the opposite as ive stated the whole time an whenever it comes up....

NO OL COACH worth their sh*t is moving their bookend left tackle who is comfortable there and played well ( i played left tackle in college).

Neither Mauigoa or Samson are better players than Rivers at this point so why would he be the move?.

And Why would you move your bookend RT - which is just as important as LT - and a guy who has never played guard before - and who was a 5star recruit and freshman all american at the position?

Furthermore Rivers has actual experience at Guard (2 yrs starting vs 1 at OT), only has 1 year left here, and likely is going to get moved to guard in the NFL anyways. Having Mauigoa and Okunlola at both Tackles spots would secure those roles for the next 2 seasons for us.

I'm saying I'd rather move Rivers than Mauigoa. What I'd actually do is probably just stick Okunlola at LG for this season.

I can understand WHY moving Mauigoa makes sense - particularly if you think Bell is going to be too good not to start at a Tackle spot next year and assuming he can't play Guard. So It would make sense to have like Bell and Okunlola at OT with Mauigoa at OG, and likely McCoy at RG and whoever wins starting Center job...

dude MIRABAL literally said what ive been saying since yall started this whole move Rivers thing in the spring THIS WEEK...that it MAKES NO SENSE TO MOVE RIVERS LOL.

You havent heard me say move Mauigoa either.....

I've been steadfast in the not caring for nfl status or positions...and saying that Mccoy or whomever has to win that guard spot.

Every one is doing mental gymnastics and moving all kind of parts to ensure they get Samson in the starting lineup because of his recruiting ranking and NIl deal for this year and moving forward.

in 25 the left tackle spot should be open for the take.

Guys like Samson, Mccoy, Bell need to make sure there *** is in the top 7-8 players to travel with the team or take gas station pics on saturdays.

If you're asking who on the 2001 OL would start over the current 24 OL, my answer would be all of them.

If you're asking who on the current 24 OL would start on the 01 OL, my answer would be none of them.
There’s a cold truth about you. I dig it. I strive to remove emotion from decisions but often fail. Credit to you, it’s pure logic and never strays from reality. You don’t do hunches or feelings and I enjoy seeing it.

By the way @Memnon you must be a savant at betting. If you ever share locks, man, I’m cupping my ears to listen. I’ll stretch them out like Dumbo if I have to.

It does make sense though. As much or more sense than moving Mauigoa imo. Not saying we NEED to and definitely not saying we WILL do that, as Mirabal has said Rivers is staying at LT. But I do think people are acting like there is some major difference between the importance of LT and RT, when there just isn't. That is extremely outdated logic. Anyone saying it makes no sense to move Rivers, should also be saying it makes no sense to move Mauigoa.

Anyways, Like I already said, I'd just have Samson at LG...
