According to @Dwinstitles, (not an attack on Dwins), wins and losses don’t drive this, recruiting ability and bags do. I don’t know, I think after three seasons, performance on the field including development, matters but money also matters. In fact, I believe money matters more than being a traditionally “great recruiter”. In todays day and age, give me a lot of NIL money and coaches who can identify and develop.
Okay, is it a money thing? Why all of the sudden are we losing our best recruits? Can you elaborate.

Mario can recruit but a great recruiting pitch means nothing when another school is offering you significantly more. Recruiting skills in the NIL era isn’t as important as it was. Kids are going to go where the bag is. Mario honestly offers very little in the NIL era other than giving us a good OL. Coaching wise Mario is a position coach skill level that’s getting paid 80M to be a HC and with the NIL era his recruiting skills are nowhere near as important.

Momentum. Florida has more money and momentum now. Our Collective is *fine* but they went over budget for 2024 to surround Cam. It’s reeling back in now and coming closer to earth.
As for Nix I think he got a little more money but I asked the question and sounds like it might have something to do with his family and advisors asking for assurance about the defensive staff and didn’t get it.

No but we were expected to take care of business against GT and Syracuse at 9-0 and get to the ACCCG. For what they are paying in salaries and NIL, I don’t think we’re where we should be. These are wealthy shrewd people.
This and also, Ugator is finishing the season on high notes. We’re not.

UiF and FSU fanbases are also toxic. I’m waiting for 12/4 given Mario’s history but I am also personally concerned at the close of the season, the stopping of visitors towards the end, and about $$$ being available the way it’s needed.
