I definitely recall multiple people insinuating he may never play again, never be the same, and most definitely be an automatic redshirt for the upcoming season.

Definitely not the talent prior to injury. Ability to recover from the injury sustained.
I'll wait to see the dust settle on all possible attrition before the last one. He should have am opportunity at safety unless we hit another major W in the portal.
