QB Judd Anderson commits to Miami

Judd Anderson, a three-star QB out Jones County High in Gray (GA), has committed to Miami.

Miami also wanted to sign Air Noland, who is headed to Ohio State. But make no mistake- Miami's pursuit of Judd Anderson is independent of anything that happened with Noland. He is, and has been, a major priority for them.

They love his frame (6'6 in person), athleticism (19/14 in hoops as a sophomore) and arm strength. He's also a 4.0 student and a home run off the field. Shannon Dawson is a driving force in this recruitment and believes this kid could be a monster as he continues to develop as a dropback passer. Anderson previously played in a Wing T, and they believe the game film is more telling than the stats. Internally, his recruitment has been compared to Emory Williams- a guy who outperformed Jaden Rashada at the Elite 11 and has made an outstanding impression so far in spring.

For those who will say that Miami is just scrambling following the departure of Air Noland, here is a snippet from the March 3rd edition of the Bank:

This only sucks because of the momentum Air could have given us. I'm fine with this commitment if Judd is QB2.

I’m curious to see if anyone sticks when they go 3-9 and average 17 points per game. They were very mediocre on offense with a potential first rounder at quarterback. How will they score at all without Richardson’s freakish athletic ability?

He makes some nice throws on the tape no doubt , but it's a highlight. Kids a 56% passer and 1/1 TD/INT QB.

Like the frame and the basketball background. Think the ceiling is higher than Emory because of the better athleticism.

I have seen him throw live in shorts and t shirt and Emory has a step on him there at the same stage in HS.

Agree with previous posters. He’s the perfect QB2 in your class. Big boy with lots of potential.

But we **** sure need a true QB1.

Just kidding. I haven’t moped in a bit. I’m confident that QBs will line up to play here once they see our offense isn’t very “Mario”

Watch the tape - that offence is dog**** and so are the players. Richardson is beyond legit - dude bailed as soon as he could to get away from that dumpster fire.
