Of course, one hopes the players allowed to sit out spring ball are mature enough to maintain their fitness and not simply partying, drinking and eating their way through the NIL.
I think that’s why it’s limited to Seniors/5th year guys you can trust.
Also, they know the playbook & don’t need 3 weeks of “install” like the younger guys.
They have the summer workouts to stay in shape & fall camp to practice actual football 100%.
ND will use all spring to pick a pecking order of QB going into the fall. No way all three stay. They will get their top 2 to battle in the fall & the third will probably go in the post spring portal.

The “Elija Lofton is the best player on the team” take basically means that he is the best all around football player on the team, pound for pound.

For example, hypothetically, if each team were made to choose one player to clone and comprise the entire 85-team with, our coaches would choose Elija Lofton and they believe we’d win the championship in that format. Lofton playing QB, OL, RB, CB, LB, S, WR, TE, DT, DE, P, PR, KR, and PK would win the NC over any other one player comprised team of another roster.
Idk man, I'd just choose the absolutely most athletic big Islander in the country - possibly Mauigoa... You're going to dominate on the OLine. And those mother****ers will run down your throat. And on defense they'll dominate on the DLine, and you can player super conservative at DB.

Like in the NFL a team of Penei sewells is destroying everyone. That ************ can block run catch and throw at a ridiculous level.

Best we’ve been able to do is round 7 or UDFA lately

At least some of Mannys guys are gonna change that this year
we keep getting into the early rounds yearly it will reflect in record same as the other top programs.

He’s not a high end draft pick but when healthy he makes plays.
you can win with him, not as a starter but a contributor on the back end. Assuming your top end are mostly high level NFL talent. Same as the other top schools or natty winners thats how they do it, its not some magical juice the uniform gives you. Its the talent

If Beck is 100.0%, I’ll be shocked if this team isn’t very good.

The OL and DL should be very good. It’s almost hard to suck as a football team if you kick people’s asses on both sides of the line.

This should be one of the 5-15 best teams in the country. The way Mario has acquired talent and a HEALTHY Beck gives this team a pretty high floor, imo.
Agree.
The Notre Dame game has to be a game where the Irish melt in the Florida sun, and Miami conditioning wins out.
Then, it's state championship mode... we have a mini playoff to start.
We have to be undefeated heading into the @SMU game.
Win 2 out of 3 in the late away games makes us 11-1 and playing Clemson in the ACC CG.
