Well, I hoped it would get better this year but deep down I knew it wouldn't. DiMare was a bad hire but JD getting the job after DiMare is laughable. Hopefully somebody high enough up looks at the baseball team and says 'nah, we're not doing this' and takes the next hire seriously.

It’s absolutely pathetic-We’re near the bottom of the ACC-That’s where we belong-

The overall talent on this team is poor -It’s not being helped by the head coach and his staff being out recruited and out coached-

The program is sinking to new depths that shouldn’t happen considering the rich tradition of UM baseball-

The AD needs to fire JD-Hire a competent coach who can recruit and has vision to lead this program back to relevance.

The talent level on this team is despicable

It’s amazing how this comes to fruition after many on this board ?’d the moves this team made.

Again, I don’t live in the world of fantasy, I live in the world of reality, & the reality is if u’re a fan of college baseball, like many of us r, the personnel we went after this off season was head scratching. The results r not shocking, which is y I said after that last series v. Princeton we looked better, but played poor competition thus far.

Now that the season has unveiled itself after the schedule flip, here we r like Deja vu:

After 21 games
-2024: 12-9 w/ 130 runs given up & 178 runs scored.
-2025: 12-9 w/ 109 runs given up & 162 runs scored.

Incredibly frustrating as a fan of this program; I mean blunder after blunder after blunder. It’s like we can’t get out of our own way, yo.

What an utter disgrace this baseball "team" has become. From perennial participants in the CWS to being swept by Wake Forest after losing 2 of 3 to UConn. I'm afraid there is no hope of this ever getting turned around unless drastic steps are taken NOW...and we know they aren't going to fire JD any time soon (even if they did Rad would ***** up the new hire). We need a new AD like yesterday

I didn’t say that, and I don’t believe it.
I didn’t say you said it Dmoney, so please don’t confuse that, all I said was it was said on your podcast. And I believe it was said by your podcast copilot Ryan. I know I’m not wrong on that because I remember hearing him say it on the podcast.

Yeah man when they were winning early, I kept saying (to myself) this is what happens each year...
Beat up the cupcakes early to create that mirage and get bumrushed the rest of the season against teams with a pulse.
I was surprised they won a game against Florida
They are embarrassing

Honestly, we did the same **** last yr, too; Lol, went 1-2 v. UF. Here’s the scariest part: Last season’s team is actually lowkey outpacing this team. 21 games last yr was a bit extended due to a canceled game. Had that game been played, we would’ve been 13-8 after 21 games not 12-9. Last yr team was at least exciting w the comeback ability due to the pop in the lineup.

Just an incredibly poorly ran program at this point w the teams going North has surpassed us, which is unimaginable

You're absolutely correct. I love baseball just as much as football so I keep a close eye on them and man it seems like we've just quit, in regards to that diamond and the baseball team.
Omaha seems soooo far in the rear view mirror...

My gosh pull the plug on this guy already.

It doesn't really do anything to do it right now, it's not like we're going to hire a good coach tomorrow.

But, make no mistake about this, there is NO ******* CHANCE he should be retained for longer than 12 hours after the last game of the season. If he is given a 3rd year, I will never support this athletic department monetarily in any capacity ever again.

Thinking of how much of a distance we have created between this program and Omaha really ****es me off. Unless you are true baseball fan, people don't really understand how elite this baseball program is. I am talking about top 5, likely top 3 all time. We can easily make the argument the baseball program is more successful than the football program.

We have gone to Omaha 25 times! That is good for 2nd all time, only behind Texas. And we haven't gone since 2016. Yet are still 2nd all time.

We have 4 NC's, played for a total of 6. That is good for 5th all time as far as NC's.

We had the longest post season run ever at 44 consecutive seasons.

So the fact that we went and hired two coaches, from the Morris failed regime (end of career), with neither ever being a previous HC, nor having anywhere near a resume that justified them being hired is an insult to all those who built this program to the power it became.

Again, if we do not go out and hire an ELITE guy the next time around, ***** anyone associated with athletics at UM.
