Penn St. had a close one against Bowling Green and Oregon squeaked by Boise State…incredible

The nation is beginning to notice what's happening in Coral Gables. The latest AP Poll has the Canes at No. 10 in the nation. Clemson, Boston College and Louisville are the only two ACC teams besides Miami still ranked.

Check out the full top 25 list down below:

No way should Michigan or ND be in the top 25. And now ND gets to say they lost to a ranked Northern Illinois team. Ridiculous mental gymnastics to try and keep those programs relevant and in the playoff run.

We did look sharp yesterday or dominant. I don't care what the score was.

Keep winning and getting better. Cannot afford to let up as we have seen in our past 20 years and for many teams already this year.
And stay healthy

Lower than I would have chosen. I'd go:

Texas
Georgia
Ohio State
Tennessee
USC
Miami

Going to be objective and say 8-12 sounds right based on the 45 times I've watched our 2 games and the fact I've watched every top 25 team play.

Need to see a certain consistency and gameday coaching to go higher

I went to the Utah State v USC game last night. USC had good RB’s but they are nothing special at QB and WR.
Their defense is very good.

ACC can make some noise this week

BC going to Missouri (who I believe to be really overrated)

also of note, Louisville plays GT

would love for GT to win that game and give Louisville(likely an ACC title contender) an ACC loss
I get it but NGL I want Louisville ranked as high as possible for when we go there an smack them back down

Truly laughable poll....
All about power and $$
It always sorts itself out, really it’s for ratings and excitement leading into the season

Usually by week 6 teams have established themselves into their proper place, not to mention now with a 12 team playoff it’s really insignificant at this point

As the man wrote up thread, this will sort itself out by the time of the FSU game.

BTW, one guy said that a lot of Cristobal’s recruits have cycled through Oregon and it’s beginning to show.

***** all that….the rankings matter in this new playoffs.

6 SEC Teamsin the top ten Penn ST and Oregon. Missouri, Alabama, even Tenn and Ole Miss all overrated.

This will become a problem as games get going in the SEC. Every close game is going to be an excuse for Disney to keep that CA$H cow rolling.
The rankings do matter, to the teams outside of winning their conferences. Those are the top 4. The rankings only matter then for seeding the remaining 8. So if we handle our business, it don't really mean a whole lot. Not to mention, every team you mentioned, will all lose at least 1, and if they don't, then UGA and/or OSU lost one.
Long story short, as I already said, take care of business, and the rest means very little.
