Miami is going to be a huge favorite coming into the Ball State game.

After the Hurricanes’ decisive 56-9 victory over FAMU on Saturday, DraftKings oddsmakers expect another blowout on this upcoming Saturday. DraftKings currently has Miami as a 36-point favorite.

The ESPN’s Matchup Predictor doesn’t give Ball State much of a chance either. The worldwide leader’s numbers predict a 97.9 percent chance of victory for the Hurricanes.

Miami (2-0) will host Ball State (1-0) on Saturday, September 14 at Hard Rock. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EST on ACCN.

I can see this a a 38-17 win, only reason I say this is because we been kind of vanilla on offense and I except it to continue. Grind it out and take their soul in the fourth.

I hope they show some fight, not like the gaturd quitters…

This is a game in past years where it would be a lot closer than expected. I would like to see continued focus with both sides of the ball executing as expected.

Will speak about what this team is really about because we know this team can match up with anyone when they’re clicking on all cylinders. I’m just hoping we can bring it week in and week out!!

Nothing wrong with Vanilla when you're dominating your competition.

I wouldn't put money on it, but I expect us to cover.
We also haven’t been “that” vanilla. We have throttled it back when we need to but I agree if we are only up 21 against Ball St I would expect to see us pretty aggressive

We’ve had some fun play calls in the red zone and Chase Daniel had some comments about a few of our play calls against UiF

So not saying you guys are wrong…we have more in the tank for sure…but I wouldn’t say we have been vanilla either

Ball State won 4 games last year, one being vs FCS Indiana State.

The 2 P4 teams they played, they lost to Kentucky 44-14 and to UGA 45-3.

Miami should have NO problem with this in the least bit. IMO the hangover game was last week. I don't expect to see an exotic gameplan, but I do expect to see better execution and cohesion. We are infinitely better than them on the lines. I think we win 48-10.

Ball State has only played 1 game so far, and it was home vs Missouri State, who is an FCS school. And they put up 20 offensive points on Ball State before garbage time. Wound up scoring 34 overall (had a pick 6 and a very late TD). Even saving a lot of the playbook, I think Cam and the backs absolutely feast.

450+ yards, and the defense completely smothers them.

Obviously we'll do well but I think the key factor here is Balls tates QB.

If he's a mobile QB with good pocket presence and scrambling ability like Richardson, they'll score some points.

If not, it could be worse then FAMU.

I'm also curious to see if the staff treats this like another scrimmage like they did with FAMU.

Balls Tastes🤣

Will the offense go into a shell like we did last year against teams we were expected to defeat?
