My guess is Chevis. He was a Guidry hire, and his unit sucked elk nuts. Never bring me anything from Marshall again. Guidry, Chevis, Alson, and Hill were all subpar
I'd give Alston a little bit of a pass since he looked good when not injured...but otherwise agree. Let that Blundering Terd stink in the sun somewhere else.

After a season in which Miami's defense likely cost the Hurricanes a spot in the College Football Playoff, the Hurricanes will be making a change at defensive coordinator.

Lance Guidry is expected to be fired, sources tell CanesInSight. Against FBS opponents, Miami finished 70th in scoring defense (26.7 PPG), 50th in 3rd Down Defense (37.75%) and 82nd in takeaways (1.3),

Mario Cristobal issues the following statement on the decision:

“I want to first thank Coach Guidry for his contributions to the University of Miami.

“In a continuous effort to always improve all aspects of our program, I have decided to make a change on defense. We will move forward and make decisions that provide our players, staff and program the best opportunity to win and develop at the highest level.”

The defense was one of the worst in the ACC during conference play, struggling with communication and pre-snap movement, among other areas.

Miami will now look for its third defensive coordinator of the Cristobal Era, following Guidry and Kevin Steele.

Go get a guy with NFL position coaching experience and ready to call a defense. Or get the DB coach from ND. I am happy with either, and will gladly contribute $10 to their signing bonus.

Usually I am more balanced. Coaches can’t make a player tackle or switch or whatever. But everything about our defense was broken this year from pre-snap alignment, to rush technique, the motion alignments, the stunts…and that’s before we even get to the tackling and coverage technique. There were multiple things from every game where I remember saying “I don’t think I’ve seen that before.”
