No, they aren't the same! Manny was a 1st time HC at Miami! Mario was a experience 11 year HC getting to Miami! Miami open up the check book for Mario!
His agent fleeced Miami. And Miami had to pay Oregon millions for Mario’s buyout. Oh vey... If Mario must remain as head coach, at least Radakovich can bring in a General Manager to oversee Mario and the program with personnel decisions. Where is Radakovich?!?!

They played in a better scheme that fit their talent. We had too many guys doin **** tgat they were uncomfortable with, and it showed.
That's the part that gets me. While Guidry didn't do a great job last year, he did better than this year. Everything got worse this year. Kiko was used very differently, froma frequent pass rusher who got 7.5 sacks last year, to often being left on an island covering the RB (or even a WR) out of the backfield, which is his biggest weakness. This year the defense also seemed completely confused about how to set up pre snap, and who had what assignment on every play, which wasn't the norm last year. Guidry changed what little that did work last year and made the defense worse in every way

one thing. not everyone can work for Mario, he's obsessed with recruiting. you will have to work your butt off. Guidry didnt recruit that hard either.

So what! I don't trust Mario to hire any coordinator! He gave him a extension, so Miami has to waste money on his buy out! Guidry had no business being the Miami DC at 51 now 53! Why? Guidry never was coach on the P5/P4 level. Miami was his 1st P4 coaching job at 51! He never coached in the Pac10, ACC, SEC, B10 or B12! He only coached in group of 5, division 2 and HS! If your a young hot coach in the group of 5 or lower levels, P4 schools come for you in your 30's or 40's, not your 50's!
thats what hap[ens when dennis smith has an ear lol

Still catching up on comments but … this explains why today on my way home from the gym out of nowhere mid day I see someone flying Canes Flags from all 4 car windows.

I'd predict that Rad won't be around much longer.
I'm most disappointed in him. I've met Dan a few times. Really bright guy, and he has let Mario run ammuck here. I don't know if it's the Columbus cartel calling the shots or what but who is there telling Mario, "look, what are you doing? How many coaches are you going to keep hiring and firing until you get this sorted out?" Where is the leadership? Three-ring circus...

Tim Banks, Tennessee
One of the hottest defensive coordinator names in the nation, Tim Banks directed a Tennessee defense in 2024 that ranked in the top 10 nationally in total defense. The Volunteers allowed just 293.2 yards and 16.1 points per game. Tennessee struggled against Ohio State in the College Football Playoff, but Banks’ defense shut down the SEC for most of the season. Sources tell On3 that Banks could listen to Miami and Mario Cristobal. In the three previous seasons, the Vols led the SEC in tackles for loss per game with 7.62 and are third in turnovers gained per game with 1.44.

Jason Taylor, Miami defensive line coach
If Cristobal decided he wanted to promote from within, Miami defensive line coach Jason Taylor could be a no-brainer. The former NFL Defensive Player of the Year and Hall of Famer joined the staff as an assistant in 2023 and was previously a defensive analyst for Miami. He’s proven he can recruit at a high level, too, playing a key role in flipping five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott from Ohio State to Miami in the 2024 cycle.
I will just say, I’ve been told by a few folks that Jason Taylor is one of the laziest coaches on the staff, and it showed by the DL’s performance. If he is hired as DC we are Fing cooked

Fitzgerald is the former HC I hinted at awhile ago . He has some legal stuff that needs taken care of . He’s never called plays . It would be nice to get him off field until all that stuff is taken care of. Then find a spot.
Legal stuff personally or related to his past Northwestern situations?
