I would say game 6 would have been a better indication. Who would he have replaced him with midseason?
Anything would have been better than the insanity for doing the same thing with the same players getting the same result.

Clear the whole fycking staff.

Why should the new DC not be able to bring whoever he wants. Why should there be any holdovers.

Mario is an idiot

This is just such a ridiculous, reactionary viewpoint.

We have already had multiple DC candidates visiting our practices and our campus. I'm sure whoever Mario hires is capable of making his own decisions on who to fire AND who to retain.

There are no limitations on the new DC.

Great! Now all we need to do is hit on this hire and find another cam ward and then we’ll be contenders
After we take these two personally, we’ll need to finish taking DB personally. Then take LB personally. But then the OL will cycle out and we’ll need to take that personally again. And defensive line, and on and on until we figure out we need to assemble all at the same time to be good.

Mario has shown to be amazing at this hiring thing….his coaching tree is sure to be second to none. Maybe fire the guy who continues to make terrible decisions year after year
Really no way to spin this as a negative yet here we are smh we get it bro Mario is the worst coach of all time but let us enjoy this news :ROFLMAO:

That being said, his tenure here was atrocious. Job seemed too big for him and his style didn't really fit. We can do better, and I'm hoping whoever we hire brings new ideas and approaches that Guidry apparently was incapable of doing to bring us success on that side of the ball.

I, too, would like to see someone who can bring in new ideas and approaches. Like defending against the forward pass.

Whoever they bring in needs to be the head coach of the defense, not just a coordinator.
Whoever it is he needs to have the ability/respect to bring some good assistants with him or it will be another disaster like the last two experiments. Mario is wading into deep water now and a few more disastrous hires will seal his fate too.

There is an almost 0% chance a former head coach is coming here to work under a mindless dictator that goes through coordinators like m&m’s, especially one from a cfp team. Mario is going to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel soon because no one is going to want to deal with his BS

Fitzgerald is the former HC I hinted at awhile ago . He has some legal stuff that needs taken care of . He’s never called plays . It would be nice to get him off field until all that stuff is taken care of. Then find a spot.

Associate HC/Inside LB coach/Senior Defensive Analyst.

Give him whatever he wants and lock in the LB room and let DNic focus on recruiting

He would be a great analyst, its the never being a DC and calling a defense that scares me. Why can't he be our Muschamp?

Not sure if this hurts, helps, or is neutral for next year’s recruiting.
