Y’all keep talking about cohesion when every other team can have staffs full of guys with no ties and still be successful why can’t grown áss men making millions here not do there job? The 2 teams in the nc with top defenses their DC made no hires
wtf are you talking about. I just said please get along. We have had staffs but heads every year and it led to bad units. The only tie is Monroe, who people would be happy with regardless of the new DC. Them working together is a nice plus

Understood and that is not unfair but people making it known like they knew Blake was Buddy Ryan.
I hear ya.... I mean I'm happy for Blake and the success he's having but I bet if receipts from my posts back then are pulled I would be more on the negative side of things....

Experience isnt always the equator to successes. Kevin Steele was here in 2022 and that defense really wasn’t great. Players, staff, team (how’s the offense) etc probably matter more.

The one factor I love is how much he improved that Minnesota defense considering the following:
1. Not the greatest roster
2. In a tough conference and played good opponents
3. Their offense was doo doo.

It may not work here, it may. But the small sample size at Minny is very encouraging.

And nobody said that experience equals success. But if some people falsely claim a person has 1 year of experience in the DC role, that isn't correct on a factual basis.

Now, if you want to talk about the positives at Minnesota, feel free. But to ignore that he had control of the defense at multiple prior jobs is just ridiculous.

That is all.

What I like about him, is that he doesn't try to finesse and trick people like Guidry did. He plays a very aggressive, straight up defense and allows the athletes to be athletes. How many times did we feel that our defensive line was not being aggressive because of the defensive call? Not what we will see with him.

For the record, I'm thrilled about the hire & think he's a great DC & defensive mind, which is why he was really one of the only DC's I mentioned/wanted.

But my point overall, is none of that sh*t really matters to this fanbase.

Yall feed on good Coaches & Coordinators like a wild pack of Hyenas. Every. Single. Offseason.
Why do you feel he is a good DC?

I search for your stuff once or twice a week because I know your opinion is more or less a level, informed, moderately unbiased take.

Unfortunately there is an army of mongoloids in here and even more unfortunately they happen to be vocal.

My first thoughts are, this is a risky hire for Mario and he doesn't recruit. He comes with a lot of up and comer fire. Get ready to blitz. Like he told Minnesota, I am going to blitz and he followed that up by leading the B1G in blitzing. We (Mario) can't afford to miss on this DC so I pray this works. I would love this hire without 2 failed DC's in 3 years prior. Let's do this, blitz and be done with the twist and stunts. Go Canes!

Yea I’m agreeing with you. I meant it more at the P4 level.
