Miami gained 10 points with the win vs Louisville
Tennessee gained 116 points for beating Alabama
LSU gained 55 points for beating Arkansas
Clemson gained 4 points for beating Virginia
And Iowa State lost 10 points for its close win against UCF.

From the looks of the AP's top-10 ranking they have a few tiers

(1) Oregon - 89 points higher than the next team

(2) Georgia - 59 points higher than the next team (PSU)

(3) PSU/(4) OSU - 12 points separate these two and 100 points higher than the next team

(5) UT/(6) UM - 15 points separate these two and about 200 points higher than the next team

(7) UTenn/(8) LSU - 16 points separate these two and 100 points higher than Clemson

(9) Clemson/(10) Iowa State - 12 points separate these two

I get that UT lost to the UGA and they were highly ranked for losing a close one to Bama. But now Bama has lost to an unranked Vandy team and a Tennessee team that almost lost to the Gators last week. These rankings are a self fulfilling prophecy when you’re also writing the narrative.

The lack of attention to any other conference outside of Big 10 and SEC is insane. I don’t like the precedent that has been set by the AP based upon these 2 conferences. And the ACC has screwed its members since they won’t let anyone go and they are underpaying them making it difficult to continue to compete. So they are causing their own failure ultimately and the AP is almost along for the ride. Which two loss team is going to be ranked ahead of an undefeated Miami that has no control over where its opponents are ranked (scheduled by the conference and others several years in advance)?

OSU and Texas should not be above us. Us not moving up even though Texas lost is bull****. And Bama only falling to 15 is bull****. Guess they can throw in, Bama has only lost to two ranked teams though. Let’s forget they went to the wire with USF and South Carolina. Miami loses a game, they’d fall to the 20s.

When is the last time Bama was ranked outside the top 10? End of a dynasty? Dont laugjh - that is how our dynasty ended…

Honestly, even with this D'Oofrio level D I think we should be ranked 1. I don't think there is a team in front of us that isn't getable. To be undefeated behind one loss teams (considering how some of those losses went) is amazing. But we've been beaten into acceptance over the last 20 years. Good boy, heel boy, sit and like it.

I have no issue with the ranking.

The ranking is a result of our defense being a free for all for any offense we face. If we cut the opponents point totals in half, I'd say we would be ranked #2.

Not even going to start on our spot, because anyone with a brain knows it’s BS.

The fighting Lashlee’s should be higher. 6-1 now with their one loss being a 3 point road loss to number 11 in a game where they were still sort of doing the 2 qb thing. They’ve looked pretty **** good since going fully to Jennings.

But Georgia can score 13 against Kentucky and win by one, and that's perfectly fine? As much as our D has looked suspect, Georgia has not exactly looked like a top team half the time. Why can other teams have losses and close calls, but that's all fine. But Miami? We need to not only have the #1 O in the country, but also win every game by three scores, or we aren't legit? Really?
