Manny Diaz is making his return back to Hard Rock Stadium to play an 8-0 undefeated Miami Hurricanes team.
Here is what Manny Diaz said about Miami when he was asked about his return:
“There's a great saying that 'no man crosses the same river twice before he's not the same man and it's not the same river' and that's really the way I look at it. I've grown. I'm different as a coach, as a head coach and as a man than when I was at Miami. Certainly, the program is in a different place, by every metric, from when I was there. So I'm at peace, I've moved on. We still go down there a lot.”
Manny Diaz was Miami’s head coach from 2019 through 2021. He had a 21-15 record and was fired after the 2021 season.
Diaz has his Duke Blue Devils team as a contender to finish near the top of the ACC this season, as they are 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
