Just because this is the first public visit doesn't mean he's a higher priority than anyone else lol. You guys will find anything to hate on. The portal isn't even officially open yet
He likely is a grad transfer which is why it is announced. They may be talking to others but if they fall into can't "officially" talk to schools unitl the portal opens on Monday then Miami and the kid are not going to be putting that info out right now.

After this year, with injuries as Mirabal has said we need anywhere between 8 and 9 guys who can play at any given time.
Think of it as the NFL these are long season 12 to 15 games pending is the CFP likes you.

Huh? Did you even read what I was responding to? Rhetorical question because you clearly did not if you think I was commenting, much less hating, on the school.

Where we at on this kid? We like because some others have interest? Or because he’s already set a visit have we moved on to he’s a short jag from a non Power 4 team? Just want to make sure I’m keeping up.

Has to be a C prospect. 6'2? Yeah. You cant play OG or OT for Mirabel unless you are minimum 6'6. LOL.

Yup. He’s a 6th year I believe with a lot of experience at center.

What spot would he be playing here? We need Center and LT right? I guess LG play wasn't stellar. But we should be returning Cooper, Mauigoa and McCoy right?
Guessing center. Bell is back so he is probably the LT is my guess

Is there going to be a Cam Ward in the portal this year. I don't think so and neither does our coaches I bet. It's all about how you want to construct this roster for 2025. I think they did poor job of that last year. Granted our offense was outstanding, but we couldn't play complementary football as it takes both sides of the ball being adequate to field an outstanding team. This defense was ******* atrocious which caused us to have to play in tons of dogfights once we got to conference play.

Mateer is the only QB you pay 7 figures for in this years portal so far. However, you don't give him Cam Ward type money and he's most likely following his OC to Oklahoma. That leaves us with the more lower end guys that are not going to fly off the board right away as none of them are starters right now.

  • Moss
  • Weigman
  • Arnold
  • Mendoza - if he decides to enter
One of Miami's selling points for QB's is a superior OL that will cover their ***. Why not make it even more powerful if you have the opportunity. Definitely bring in a QB to compete with Emory, but I'm hoping they spread out the funds to sure up the back seven most of all.

Looking at him for C, but of course he'll be cross trained as he already has. I am not sure why we are bringing in his teammate. They must want to evaluate him for depth. We lose a couple starters and a couple others.

alrite lets see if focusing on the portal is real or if its just copium
Lol we just watched the best UM QB season of all time thanks to the portal but we're asking if it's "copium."
