MSU plays defense. If you watch any game from them you know what you are going to get. If Dorito isn't good this year I hope we give MSU DC a call.

Duke is going to take the 2nd half k I to the house

I'm certain I've overlooked it... and forgive me for asking... but where are all the Fire Coach D threads?

Amazing how players not blowing assignments can make a coordinator look like he's competent.

We got 3 sacks!!!!! I think that's 10 away from our last season total. Lol

Yea they have been solid for couple years now on D. But still that one of the sickest INT I've seen in a while.

I don't know if I like all of the mass substitutions on o and d

This is a make or break type season for him. Like a contract year so the D better be good.

First Half Thoughts from a Layman:

Good:

1. Duke, obviously
2. Run defense looks much improved
3. Antonio Crawford
4. Coley route running/getting open (I'll get to drops below)
5. Kicking looks good
6. No false starts/offsides penalties (not counting kickoffs)
7. No formation/substitution issues requiring burning a timeout
8. Hurrycane getting serious press

Bad:

1. Drops - brutal
2. Late penalties (Perryman)
3. Crappy offensive play calling
4. QB getting some runs off
5. O-Line not as dominating as hoped

Perryman has had a rough go that half.

Duke has a chance to be on top of the week 1 weekly rankings for the RB position.
Currently the leader is Tevin Coleman from IU who had 14 carries for 169 and two TDs. Most of the top 25 are playing decent teams so I don't expect rushing totals to be very high.

Glad to see a legit pass rush lead to the QB on the ground

Dude made reads luke a king. Wtf you talkin bout? Theres a reason hes not on offense. Props to the D. If you cant see the difference, youre a f'in ******.

+1

I get that there are packages for run or pass, but enough already. Find the best 11 and let them play.
