Why do I keep reading that Jobe is a corner? hes a safety and if u look at the film the intangibles at safety with his explosiveness is his money spot. I keep seeing corner but heck no I wouldnt put him at corner.

U still go after Samuel regardless and take his commitment regardless if we get Jobe (which I doubt) or dont.

This!!!

Jobe is a great athlete but his money position is a safety where he could really be special.

He would be the best of the current commits in my opinion.
i dont think you know how to evaluate talent then. dudes maybe top 7 in this class and thats a big MAYBE. But hey the rest of the dudes didnt go to columbus so how good could they be compared to a 20 year old

You don't see Bama chasing after many prospects like they're going after Jobe. So I don't think you know how to evaluate talent.

LOL at the clowns on here and their Alabaga worship. They sign plenty of guys who bust. They just buy so many 5 stars that you starry eyed Sabag puppets can’t see it because you’re brainwashed.

P. S. They chased Gurv first. He **** in their mouths so they moved down the list.

Its because they said early Hall doesnt play those game$$$$$.............apparently we cant say the same for Jobe. The kid is gone but I do understand trying to change his mind

I'm fully on board with you, D. The thing is its pointless. It's not pointless from a staff standpoint. If the staff stops recruiting him, it's another built-in excuse of why to flip. In the end, Jobe's the one that looks bad, not the staff.

For all of you insisting that we cut him loose, is that really the message you want to send to your competition? That all they have to do is get inside the head of one of your recruits or commits and you'll throw your hands in the air and back away? I f-ing hate what this kid is doing, but if he is at the top of their board, let them do their thing. They have a lot more invested in him over the last 2 years then just one extra plane trip.

No. That's not it.

The message we want to send is to recruits.

There's games, and then there's time to get real.

UM ain't playing.

Jobe would be great to have, but he's not February-signing good.

It's astounding how many of you hardasses think just bailing on a kid who's conflicted is the way to go. Your heads would spin if you how many former Canes, including greats and Hall of fame types had to be last-second, begged, cajoled, guilted, hard-pressed, and otherwise just needed the kitchen sink thrown at to ultimately sign with UM. That's f-n recruiting. That's why if you have a chance to hold on to a talent like Jobe, you spend the god **** jet fuel. It's actually really laughable, because you same tough guys who want to bail on a kid who we have to really work for and isn't a lock, also in the same breath **** and moan about losing out on the top talent and not recruiting them hard enough.

I love how 49 of you morons up-voted this. I'm sorry, but some of you just can't emotionally handle recruiting. Don't know why you bother following it.

He isn’t conflicted. He’s playing Miami.

He isn't conflicted (he will sign with Alabama), but I don't think he's playing UM. He just doesn't want to tell the UM coaches that he isn't coming.

Will he take his OV to UM after he signs with Alabama?

Apparently that's all that matters.

how the fook could that matter? If he signs with Bama he's SIGNED WITH BAMA.....

It's a mockery, that was the point.

Rock & a hard place. Hopefully for our sake if Jobe's selling out, he does it ASAP. Would hate to miss on an elite prospect due to a big "look at me" drawn out soap opera..

Rick would be flat retarded if he believes anything this guy tells UM. Go ahead and keep recruiting him, but don’t hold a spot. Make a spot for him if he decides to grace us with his presence.

But if you turn away a guy like Samuel while you’re sitting there hoping a cuck doesn’t slime you, then you’re a bozo simp.

yea u right they cant believe anything Jobe says

Jobe looks bad no matter what unless he ends up here, I think he slept on canes fans and the way they went after him for being a bytch

If he signs with Alabama, I hope your parrot (a huge UM fan) pecks Jobe's eyes out.

Zero passes completed on Asante da young gawwwww. Nobody is dumb enough to throw the ball in his direction. Chokeslam Jobe through a table and sign this baller NOW.

Fact: Jobe is a good football player and a great prospect.

Fact: Throughout his recruitment we have witnessed major character flaws that IMO will translate negatively to the field and locker room.

I don't want to hear any nonsense about Jobe being the best player in our 2018 class. Guys like Gurvan and Lingard are who you want in your locker room. Period.

Have a team made up of all Jobes and see what happens. bunch of pu$$y "me" players.

Couldn't agree more.

I cut Jobe plenty of slack for this difficult decision. He’s got the best college coach in the universe in his ear. Saban’s a coach who’s proven. CMR too, but it’s Alabama. I’m glad and appreciative that we’re going all out “relentless” on this kid as we should. I think we’ll get him.

I wonder what his belly button looks like.

Business decision? Do what's best for the family?

I haven't watched his highlight film nor have I seen him play so I have to ask, with all his BS and game playing is he that good of a player that you ignore it and put up with it?

He would be the best of the current commits in my opinion.

****...even better than Lingard, Pope, Brevin Jordan...? That's some high praise...I'm just hoping CMR can work some magic in the end and keep him committed!
He’s not close to a better football player than any of those guys. He might be one of the best prospects from a physical standpoint, but he’s nowhere near the player those and a few other commits are.

I agree. The argument that makes sense is the point that Miami wouldn't want to give the impression that you just bail on recruiting battles with the big bag schools. Instead the argument most are making is that Jobe is simply too good to give up on despite the diva games BS, and that's simply a mis-evaluation - one of many every year from Ariz and the other recruiting gurus who are all aspiring journalists and not talent evaluators.

Jobe is far from an elite prospect or a sure thing. He's a developmental corner with good physical traits. Fortunately for him Miami & Bama happen to be 2 of the best schools for coaching technique in DBs, but I always question the mental makeup of kids that go through the process like this. FSU has a team chock full of them and we saw what that did for them this year. I want kids that are selfless who care about the program.

Exactly this! Jobe is not a 5* he is a very good 4*. He has a long way to go in the development aspect of his mindset. Not to side track the thread but I think one of the reasons Fisher bolted on FSU was that he saw that roster was filled with bust and it's acutally a rebuild that no one in Tallahasse was going to believe because his average class rankings were really high. We saw that story with Larry Coker, pete Carrol, Mack Brown and Urban Myer at UF. When schools start recruiting soley based on list and you end up with a lot of front running-me first-entitled players who bust out. Bama gets away with this because they take so many high level players they midigate their losses. But every other school doesn't have that luxury.

Just to clarify: A teenager being confused is understandable. But doubling down on your commitment and then playing the school you are currently commited to is not a good sign of character. Especially when you arent giving priority treatment to the school you are "committed" to.

We cant slow play asante hes a shut down corner.....but is he playing us as well? U put the full court press on Samuel hes elite period regardless of Jobe

How much jet fuel are we going to waste on this fool?

facts

Keep talent home, we have to beat Saban for a kid thats homegrown who favors them. This is a true test that they lost last year with JJ, this has to change eventually and I doubt it starts with Jobe. Agree with everything u said Trav

it started in part with ahmmon richards but it will take a few years for us to get the best WR, the best RB, the best CB etc. in south florida. we are getting there, but winning consistently will be the ultimate elixir.

Pete would we take a commitment from Samuel even without Jobe's commitment or is this an either or kind of thing with the two.

Reason I ask with him not coming until January( at least that's what is said doubt saban allows it)Asante isn't going to wait to be strung along.

Got a feeling we will lose AS if we sit and wait for this kid no matter how good he is and lose out on Jobe too.

This might be one of those " a bird in the hand( Samuel) is worth more than one in the bush( Jobe) Paraphrasing.

Two in the bush

Yea I know that’s why I said paraphrasing since two in the bush didn’t fit the scenario....lol

Telling you guys right now. This kid never visits in January....if this cuck truly is heading to Bama uncle Nicky gonna tell him you go you gone...kid isnt losing a big bag and a new car to come tour the campus during a worthless visit.

Uncle Nicky has a way of shutting down visits...if he truly wants this fool,as is obvious,he ain’t letting him come spend the day with the hometown folk..bet that!!
