Him having flu could have been a good thing. On campus of one of the best colleges for medicine with the flu. Let them get him better in two hours and get down to business.

Miami and Florida are pretty equal med schools. All he needs is tamiflu anyway. Doubt he'd be better in 2 hours though if it's truly the flu. Our medical school is in downtown Miami anyway.

as someone attending Miami right now i have to say Miami >>>>>>>>>>>>>> FLoriduh.

don't just look at the rankings.

think about the practices miami students receive as opposed to Gville's.

who's more likely to see a more variety of cases?

Shands gets cases from Port Charlotte to Mississipi, to savannah flown in. It is an excellent hospital and school.

Not sure of your point. Miami gets cases flow in from other countries and continents. Well, I guess Mississippi could be considered another country. Shands is virtually the only hospital of any size in probably hundreds of miles. Like UF, is has a natural state supported advantage in most things--but still is not as good as anything at THE U. While we are at it, did you notice that the gator last coach hasn't lost a game since he changed schools--guess it wasn't Urban's fault that the gator sucks.

he hasnt played anyone in the last two years added to the fact that he has been left with a roster with many holes...... not making excuses for a gator but beating teams Illinois isnt the mark of a good team or coach for that matter

Clearly the Gaturds have a better Medical program after having to deal with all of the inbreads up there especially since inbreads have weaker immune systems than regular folks!!

Lol

Man that's a beautiful picture. Man I hope we can snag Cook, but Im not going to hold my breath. I think we all need to take this in stride. Im still giving us about a 35-40% chance of getting him. That OL is just NASTY though. Darling, McDermott, and Gibbons are MONSTERS. Linder has a nice frame for a C or guard.

Can you imagine if we got Prince?

Bicho's thoughts on Cook.

He seems to not want to offend anyone and will give positive feedback to everyone who is recruiting him and showing genuine interest in each school.

Big thing is when it comes time to **** or get off the pot Miami has home field advantage. Is he going to look his mom, teammates, local coaches, local fans in the face and leave or tell the coaches up north state he isn't coming?

Hopefully that wins out. This seems similar to Tracy Howards recruitment and that worked out even tho TH was never technically "commited" anywhere else.

The practices? You mean the clinical rotations? I would think they'd be about equal. As someone else mentioned Shands is a huge referral center. They each have their strengths. I would imagine Jackson would have more trauma and foreign diseases, while Shands would have more chronic and/or rare diseases. Jackson has more competition for cases as well, whereas Shands is the only one there.

We need to know more about Dalvin's flu. Intestinal? Upper respiratory? How come nobody's addressed that? Where's that Herald guy Jackson who's supposed to know so much? Has Stampini weighed in?

Meh. I stopped believing in that "he wouldnt do that to his mom" stuff a long time ago. We've seen kids from South Florida make their mothers cry, break their hearts, and laugh while doing it. I remember Jonathan Colon's father storming out of the school auditorium when he chose the Gators over us. Antone Smith's mother cried when he picked FSU and he was laughing as she cried. Alex Collins' mother tried to hold his LOI hostage, and he didnt give a F*CK.

Sure it usually helps SOME to have the family pushing for us, but its really not that big of a factor for most of the top recruits, at least it doesnt seem to work in our favor as much as it should.

Cook seems to really have a strong connection with Yearby. Could be a difference maker.
