It’ll be interesting because there’s a lot of bigger programs that have very rich boosters that are right up there

Tennessee. Clemson. Penn State. A&M/Michigan obviously etc

Some of these places were a little slow to mobilize the money maybe fighting it a bit but I think most realize it’s not a fight they can win now

I agree. I think what people didn't anticipate was how much and how quickly you would lose from your recruiting class. It's impossible not to play in the portal with the amount of attrition. You can make up the numbers any other way.

It will be interesting to see how teams find advantages in this new time we are in.

I can imagine teams hiring negotiators who have great relationships with the agents to gain an edge.

I would've assumed Jaden Harris ended up at Georgia St and not UGA.

The teams who know how to manage the Portal best & treat every season as a one-off.

Every year should be looked at like a "Superbowl or bust" kinda deal.

Meaning, load up on as much Free Agent talent as you can & try to catch lightening in a bottle.

But holding back with the anticipation of thinking you're going to have (insert player here) next year, probably isn't gonna work going forward.

Every season has to be procured as if it's your championship year. The old days of trying to build up for 4+ years are over.

Depth is going to be a forgotten luxury I think.

I said this before last year and got hounded. Good luck on your journey.

Heard Georgia people saying star position which I think is their safety/lb hybrid
So a position that relies on good pursuit and tackling abilities....which are the exact weaknesses of Harris with his terrible angles and bad tackling? Interesting

Yeah I’m friends with people involved at other programs and it’s been a **** show everywhere. To Miamis credit I think we were on it early and we did a good job in 2023 recruiting and NIL. Since the class has fallen apart but it’s kind of the lay of the land right now

I can’t complain too much about us. I think our ceiling is reaching the playoff maybe winning a game. #6 is off the table. So given those expectations I don’t hate what we’ve done navigating this

For many transfers, its about the connections you have (similar to coaches) moreover the level you "should" be at.

In this case, Harris' recruiter here was TRob...who will be his coach at Georgia. Taking a risk on players you were previously connected to and liked.

His play had nothing to do with the d scheme, he just flat could not tackle in space.
Both things can be true . . And are. Each accentuating the other. Ideally you want coaches to scheme to mask a deficiency not amplify it. Mask it, get through the season and coach up or coach out (recruit over). He got fired, rightfully so for making a young man hated by putting him in positions he had no chance to succeed in. Over and over and over. Layup after layup after layup after layup

Since TRob is there maybe they bring him in for spring to see what he looks like in their system. If he fits great if not he can hit the portal to another school.

I wish him the best of luck over at Georgia. If he can get any playing time then this would be a better comeback then Zion at SMU

Now that he is at Georgia… he bond to get a speeding ticket, let’s hope he does not crash taking bad angles.

He's not talented enough for us but he is for georgia lol ..i guarantee they'll put him in much better position to be successful then the ****** coaches did here, good luck to that young man!

Nobody ever doubted 7s talent. He reminds me of DJ Ivey n that He looks physically impressive, has the size & build you'd want & has great speed according to hs track numbers..

But none of that has translated to the fb field. He's missing something between the ears. It remains to be seen if it's a coaching issue on our side tho. I'll say this will be an interesting saga to follow over the next couple seasons.
