DB Dylan Day commits to Miami

S/Nickel from Southern Lab in Baton Rouge commits to Miami. This a Coach Guidry special- he offered him at Marshall and Tulane and wants him at the U.

I'm told the staff liked his frame on his campus visit and he has strong athletic testing. He is a guy who could be 6', 185 running in the 4.5s. His film is outstanding- extremely physical, explosive striker, plays WR, CB, S, LB and special teams. Weak competition but plays for a powerhouse program.

Yeah I'm not sure if they were leading or trailing looking back at it (I was questioning the corching myself) but still a game sealing play.

The offense was leading 34-31, ended up losing 38-34 because of the pick 6 by Day!

He ran 21.6 in the spring i think. Everyone seem to think he should be pushed out. We will see havent seen his senior film. I like players who are wiry strong like Wesley.

Have to think his PR in the 100M is significantly faster than 11.3. 1 he ran it in March , while the 21.6 he ran in May. 2 He seems to be a 200M specialist and chop almost a full second off his PR from 2022 to 2023.

And also if u look on the women's 200m world list, any woman who has ran 21.6 has a PR of atleast 10.8, likely 10.7. Those are fast football times. He fast.

Haven’t watched a second of his film but I’d be surprised if he’s pushed out. I think he was guidry’s first offer when he came to Miami. Love that he’s a multi sport athlete and we need safeties.
