They had multiple guys wash the DTs out, and pull the backside guard and tackles. Our DE’s and LB were forced to take on the pulling guards and they could not. LB’s too slow and small to take those pullers on. Teams could not really attack us head on in the running game though.

Lol well, this guy took a whole year without playing (played scout team). So he could’ve regressed. Plus they’re asking him to just take up blockers there. They’re playing a lot of read and react. That doesn’t suit their guys well. We had a more attacking style defense, although it was too complex for our guys that year. He likely progresses better here. But right now, he and their entire defense were atrocious! Their linebackers are HS level at best. They didn’t give the line any help. Going into wrong gaps, getting caught in the wash, losing contain. All bad!! They didn’t even spy that trash “dual threat” QB all game

Best secondary in the nation? I didn't realize FSU secondary was even a strength for them.

He played better yesterday IMO. Just takes so many plays off (LT/Nesta). Give me effort over natural talent any day.
