I’m putting together the annual South Florida position lists, but rather than just list guys, I wanted to highlight a few three-star and unranked kids that I personally believe can develop into players.
Cristobal is a big-game hunter and we need to recruit nationally to win championships. But I hope we are giving the local kids close and careful evaluations. We need to improve the batting average with future NFL players.
The offensive list is here.
Jesse Anderson, S, 6’0, 180 (Gibbons)- Explosive and competitive athlete with the skill for offense and the mentality for defense. Leading receiver for Gibbons. Knockback tackler at safety. High-motor and plays full speed on special teams. Louisville and Indiana have offered.
(defensive clips start at 1:50)
Luke Evans, CB, 6’2, 165 (Chaminade)- Highly intelligent (4.61 GPA), long corner with good bloodlines. Father played college football and uncle was a 4th Round pick. Very disruptive at the catch point. Pure corner who can find the football. Competes on special teams. Solid speed for his size with 11.25 100M. Douglas transfer. SEC and Big 10 offers.
King Mack and Conrad Hussey, S (St. Thomas Aquinas)- Safety duo with similar size (5’11, 180) and real track speed. Mack finished fourth in the state in the 100M (10.64) and has the third-fastest 400M in the entire nation (46.25). Also ran a 21.43 in the 200M. On the field, he is a steady ballhawk (4 INTs) who plays like Kam Kinchens.
Hussey is a former offensive player who brings dynamic ability to defense and special teams. Has the explosiveness (10.9 100M) to take kickoffs to the house and is also a missile on coverage units. Very rangy with the balance to secure the pick, land and switch into an offensive player.
Penn State and James Franklin already have a commit from Hussey and they are after Mack. They value verified speed.
Kerrington Lee, DE, 6’4, 230 (Dwyer)- South Florida is becoming the EDGE capital and Lee could be the next one. Lanky edge rusher with twitch. 12 sacks as a junior. Played LT and basketball earlier in his career. Raw and still learning how to get low and explode through contact. Wiry strong. Wake Forest commit.
Jamari Holliman, CB, 6’1, 175 (Norland)- Long cornerback with strong hands and ball skills. Very light-footed and aware facing the QB. Smooth pedal. Can locate the football in the air. Solid athlete (11.20 100M, 22.74 200M) who also competes in 400, long jump, triple jump and hurdles. But he’s more of pure cover guy than a track star. Toledo commit.

D’Angelo Ponds, CB, 5’10, 150 (Chaminade)- Small but smooth slot corner with speed. Quick to diagnose plays. 10.65 100M and 21.54 200M. More of a pure cover guy than a two-way player or big hitter. Really good at reading screens. Needs to develop more strength. Special teams value as gunner. Unranked with Akron and FAU offers only.
