I look at accuracy the same way I look at speed. Anyone can get faster relative to your own ceiling. Like I can get faster but I'll never run a 4.4
Try explaining that to Uncle Roscoe re little Johnny. I can make you fastER, I can't make my slow butt FAST.

I believe it’s you got it or you don’t. People like to point to josh Allen but that is a rare occurrence. I think you can improve it with mechanics and things like that similar to a jalen hurts but you won’t ever be just a naturally great passer
Do you need to be an above average passer to win in the College game?

I think at least average for him because he can run. There has been plenty of guys in cfb that weren’t great passers but put up numbers
Thats my point of view as well. He has elite athleticism and size. You can win with that in the college game.

don't let one of your players go to a family reunion...they all come back asking to play WR bc my unc said...
90% a male issue, thankfully we mostly have female clients. But "my coach had us do speed work" "Yeah what was it" "5 300's, 10 110's, and 5 50's" nope.

good recap but not doing this again haha. ill wait and see how we look week 1.

I’ll start with a couple of examples, Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts - a couple of notable NFL starters who began their CFB careers as significantly below average passers. So yes, it happens.
Eh... idk if they've become better passers or are aligned with offensive staffs that cater to what they do best.

Seems more of the latter.

Cause Im Willing to bet a bums bank account that neither QB would do **** in the Tennessee titans Gattis-like offense

Except he doesn’t really have that much time. With the dumpster fire that was our season last season and qb recruiting failures, he’s a hit on TVD away from being the starting qb. He has to make major strides this summer because of how thin our qb room is.
Malik Rosier led this university to a 10 win season. So let's tone down the "major strides"

This is CFB. Jacurri is a special talent.

Dawson is the one who needs to make strides.

Yes, they’ve become better passers.

That’s indisputable and also independent from them playing in a better designed offense. Yes, playing in a more agreeable scheme helps, but those guys, from any objective standpoint have become better passers. They were not very good when they started in college in terms of accuracy, completion percentage, ypa, or any other metric you want to look at.

Interesting. It's hard for me to see the accuracy change. I'd need a more in depth analysis.

Like what throws were they inconsistent with before that they hit at a better percentage now?

All I see is coaches minimizing what the players aren't good at. I've yet to see Josh Allen become a consistent short to intermediate passer outside the hashmark outside of back shoulder throws.

I've yet to see Jalen Hurts even complete a back shoulder throw. You could be right my guy. I just need more to say definitively.

Sad to hear about J. Brown still having issues throwing the rock
He's a long term developmental guy. I didn't think he would end up starting here until his junior season or so. I think 2024 will be his year as a redshirt junior and we grab a starting QB out the portal if TVD leaves.
