5-0 start would be huge. The season will be determined with the @UNC, Clemson, @NC ST, and @FSU games. If we go 0-4 in those we may be in trouble.
This is the year where our schedule isn’t filled by cupcakes. A&M last year was a fluke and not the norm, UNC is a tough matchup, ditto for NCST, ditto for LVille, Clemson and FSU are top 10 teams….then sprinkle in a Friday night season finale trip to frickin Massachusetts on November 24th, thanks a lot ACC.

We need to be 7-2 going into FSU week because we close with FSU/LVille/BC. This sets us up to meet the goal of 8 wins, possibly even surpassing it

There’s an obvious method to Mario’s madness that’s becoming clearer by the day. Character, smarts, work ethic, and the love of football are at the top of his priority list. There may even be some 5*’s that don’t meet that criteria and I’m more than good with that.

Pretty telling when Matt Lee, a dude that just got here, is a team captain, or leader whatever you want to call it
It's not like we've got a roster full of players who've been here for years. How many players are left from Manny?

Yeah man it’s like @OrangeBowlMagic and I were talking the other day that 2021 class is supposed to be the ones where leaders are emerging

It’s a travesty

We can talk about Mannys recruiting and rankings all the want but the evals and attrition tell the real story

Caught my attention that neither Mario nor matt lee talked about Zion Nelson when talking about new ol guys or returning guys who are getting healthy. Both mentioned rivers and cooper, javion, and the 2 freshmen studs

I was supposed to do a thread on culture two months ago lol, about this very thing. Everyone he recruits has multiple things in common. Hard workers , smart , and love ball. Work ethic is the thing I hear the most. Guys getting up at 4 am and 5 am to work. That’s the definition of culture building. They‘re invested and want to get better. Previous years there was a strong feeling the kids cared more with what came with playing football at Miami. Partying and treating ball like it was a hobby.

The current guys are starting to take on the image of the Head Coach, who’s a psycho worker.
I remembered you mentioning the thread…glad I didn’t just miss it.

As for the culture piece, it’s definitely a term that has been dragged through the mud here for obvious reasons; try and say “process” to anyone in CIS, lol) but I truly think we are getting back to our roots. We got but a very small taste of things with Richt. Here’s hoping Mario can get us all the way there.

learned to let 5-7 go. its in the past. he stunk. new season, new staff, new start at 0-0
Only real thing to do. If you keep living in the past, you can’t move forward.

Unfortunately a good 30% of this board loves to bring it up because it fits their agenda, which is apparently more important than the HC admitting his massive mistakes and taking steps in the right direction to fix those issues.

Or they’re desperate for a cheap laugh from strangers on a message board, which is much more concerning.
