CIS Staff Predictions: Miami vs. Florida

Miami opens the season on Saturday vs. Florida, a 3:30 p.m. kickoff at Ben Hill Griffin. The Canes are a 2.5-point favorite over the Gators, who went 5-7 last season.

There are plenty of new faces on both sidelines. Miami brought in quarterback Cam Ward, who will make his Miami Hurricanes debut after two years at Washington State. The Canes’ defense may be stacked with talented veterans.

I did place a 2k bet on Draftkings on the Canes to win, but I should have included a bet on the score. I have no idea what that would have paid.

I also came close to my halftime prediction of 17-10 Canes. The late TD made it 24-10 Canes. I'm no guru, but I just had a feeling of how the game was going to play out and it was on point as I felt we would wear them down in the 2nd half.

Anyway, it was a great day all around!!!!
