In no way shape or form was Beck my top choice, but I think he will do well here. I think he is a good fit in Dawson's offense and his experience in big games will be valuable. Let Luke learn under him for a year and Luke takes over next year. If Beck can make a legit WR come aboard with him, we could keep this train rolling next year.

I’m more impressed by Mario pulling this off than anything. We went from a “could he start at a JUCO” level guy to a legit SEC starting QB that already entered the draft. That’s pretty **** elite. I won’t argue that point one bit

Cam wasn't a top pick when he got here, but Dawson made him almost certainly the number one pick.

I can't wait to see what he does with Beck. I shudder at seeing Emory as the starter after the Iowa State game.

Fvck Yes!

Stangs to the Canes! Let’s go!

Don’t care what none of y’all say. This is a huge win, and Carson Beck prefers to push the ball down the field. He is not a check down chad as some believe.

Georgia QB Carson Beck, the top-ranked overall player in the Portal, has committed to Miami.

Beck is 24-3 over his last two years as a starter and has thrown for 7,426 yards (68.4%) with 52 touchdowns and 18 INTs. He also ran for 187 yards and 5 TDs.

A member of the 2020 class, Beck will turn 24 during the season and brings tremendous experience to Miami's quarterback room. A 6'4, 230-pound passer with a verified 4.40 shuttle in high school, Beck was projected as a first-round pick before the season and was still a likely Day 1-2 pick prior to his injury.

Beck was one of the most efficient QBs in America in 2023, throwing for 3,941 yards and and 24 TDs and 6 INTs with a spectacular 9.5 yards per attempt. Following the departure of his two top weapons to the NFL, Beck's production slipped to 3,485 yards, 28 TDs and 12 INTs in 2024. Georgia led the nation in drops, and its running game collapsed from 17th in the nation in yards per game to 102nd.

The Canes return four starting OL and two of their top QBs and will be major players for a big-time WR add in the spring Portal session.
