I disagree here. Yes perhaps he shows out at the combine but I think his game film is where he is special... if he had a 1st round grade, he would be gone, If he had a second round grade, he would be gone. I think he was in that 3-5 round range which is a mid pick. Every kid likes to bet on themselves and likely thinks they are going higher than they actually will. I think the delay was a combination of things but one of them was him feeling out NFL scouts and NFL interest.

I guess I can inverse that as well, if he was not a mid to late round pick like you said then that only leaves early rounds right? which would have to be 1 or 2. I dont think anyone had that grade on him last year.

The year before Miami he had 7- 300+ yd passing games. He has done that the first 7 this year. He also took 40 sacks, this year he is at 11. Last year he only threw 25 tds, he has already thrown 24 tds Last year he had 144 rushing yards total, he is already at 190, last year he had 14 fumbles, he has like 2 this year.
This was the one time I was actually close to a situation. Think what you want there, doesn’t matter to me as our Canes were the beneficiaries.

if going by pure production
Jeanty and Ward is close
but if you go beyond that and focus on the impact to the program the its clearly Cam
imagine Boise without jeanty and imagine us without Cam
we have not seen this type of impact from one player on a program since the last Cam that won the heisman, Cam Newton

Very happy for Cam. Keep working hard young man, and always stay humble. You don’t have to tell them how good you are just keep showing them on the field . All the good things will come to you. Any of the positives that work in Miami’s favor is a plus for the school. Keep it going guys one game at a time. GO CANES!!!!!!!

This deal has a multiplier effect, because if cam had done some thing with Nike as he would be entitled to do, he would not be able to have the Miami logos and uniform on so even if Miami doesn’t get another dime out of the deal which they might actually be in most of the money, or all of the money is just Kim, the combine marketing impact, and social media reach is gigantic
And he’s so big that people just think this is what happens in Miami even if it’s an outlier because it’s all they’re going to see is the headphones, the Adidas deal the TD celebration in Miami around all of it

Cam upped his stock, Mario/Dawson/Miami Football stock as a whole with one off-season decision.

Now any high-profile QB knows the level he can elevate himself if he is that dude.

****, just like this year we don't even have to lead in the crazy NIL distributions like the BIG/SEC schools, the platform of being the next CAM is now enough if we keep recruiting and "portaling" the right kids.

Michael Jordan wanted Adidas and wasn't interested in Nike. Sonny Vacaro changed the entire universe.
