Thanks. Completely forgot about Nino.

We need to “hit” on some of our center recruits and reduce our dependency on the Portal for the position.
Yeah using the portal is good but you want to be in a position where you can take an upgrade if it’s available

Don’t really want to be hitting it in desperation mode

Bishop Gorman is about as close to a TX HS football program that we’ve broken into.

It matters when legitimate resources and support are funneled into HS football programs.

We need to make sure we continue to keep the pipeline going.

Things are just different when your center is a stud.
Welcome to the U!
Can’t wait to watch!

Tripp isn't in the center mix right now. Rodriguez is the backup, Nino Francavilla looked good physically in spring and SJ is the future.

So Tripp to the portal and hit the portal again for center for one more year is how I see it

Gorman has better than most college facilities and they could hang with some college teams

Sucks if Tripp never takes a snap here. He recruited hard for his class and was hype to be a cane. But at this point it’s a business

Thats the part I find so sad is Tripp was one of the leaders of that 2023 class. Lets see how this upcoming season goes and hope behind the scenes that he stays healthy

How tall is SJ? He looks 6 ft 1 in that group photo

That’s what I’m wondering. I think someone has said Wilkerson is closer to 6’7 than 6’6 so I know it’s warping it but he looks **** small.

Honestly, and I’ll never doubt this staff’s evals on o linemen, but compared to prior years the body types look way less impressive here strictly from a physical standpoint.

He's probably 6-1 or 6-2 in college, but he's wide and strong as **** and in his film his opponents get straight up bodied by him and knocked back. If he early enrollees he can be in the lineup asap year one

Yeah I’m not worried about it at all, especially him and Buchanan. I just remember being floored when pictures of the offensive line recruits the past few years were posted, even the lower rated guys like Kinsler and Tinilau. Maybe my perception has just changed since we aren’t coming right off the days of recruiting a bunch of 6’2 “tackles” lol

I understand we were recruiting all those giants 6-6 plus monsters lol, but we'll be fine you don't have to be that tall to play center at all could be 6-2 300lb and be perfectly fine
