Happy Mallory is going to have a nice NFL career it seems. He was quiet here and overshadowed by Jordan but I he seemed to always be a good ambassador for UM

He was always injured. He was also naturally underdeveloped as a blocker, and being injured made it harder to catch up there. Mario expects TEs to be able to play inline and block. Personally, I think he was misused his final year here.

He was like one of the rare bright spots of that awful 5-7 team. The TE room dropped off pretty bad after he left (last season).

He missed one game his entire career here

He started every game his junior and senior seasons

Dude looked like he broke his neck on the field and came back like two plays later. This “toughness” narrative our fans have run with is absolute nonsense

Not sure if you interpreted my post as negative. I am a huge fan of Mallory. I know he played a ton of snaps but he often played them injured for the good of the team. Which led to lower production, far below his potential. Now that he’s healthy we’re seeing what could have been if we had ever had any depth to let him heal up.

Mallory was a tough kid here. He played a ton and missed only one game but he played hurt or nicked up constantly which had an effect on his overall production. Frankly I think he should have been used exclusively as a receiving TE his senior year here. He was never a good blocker so I didn't see the point of having him continue to get beat up by forcing a round peg into a square hole.

Yeah definitely quiet that senior year he led the team in receiving and had about the same yardage Jordan had his last year

Then again Jordan only played 8 games and Mallory played 12

But then that’s weird for all the “he was always hurt” crowd

It’s like his career here is one giant Mandela Effect

Any replay of that game has been outlawed by the Geneva Convention as viewing is considered cruel and unusual punishment
Worst offensive football game I have seen since Kirby Freeman went 1-10 or something like that) against NCSU.
