They just need to give us time served right now and get it over with.

Ridiculous that we over penalized in the first place. They had nothing.

Hurtt's NOA was released, the most important part

"According to the notice, Hurtt engaged in improper recruiting of seven recruits form 2006-09 along with two other assistants and Shapiro. Names of the other assistants were redacted from the document released Monday.

The allegations mostly involve providing illegal transportation and lodging to the recruits. The total estimated value of the extra benefits was $3,315.

One incident involved a trip to Shapiro's home. Hurtt allegedly drove recruits and current players to the residence where the booster drove them around in his car. They later played played pool and Shapiro allegedly awarded cash prizes to the winning team."

You gotta be ****ting me

So the guy we all thought they had the most on, is in for $3,315. The NCAA has absolutely **** on us and they are still going to try and go after us. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

And I hate Hurtt as much as the next guy but if this is all they have and they show cause him, wow.

And I'm sure the other 2 assistants are probably Stoutland and Pannuzio, they however had the SEC protection.

Yeah, I just don't get it. I'm at a loss at this point. Our recruiting coordinator, the guy who supposedly had the most contact with Shapiro and was the most involved in all the wrongdoing, knew about $3k in benefits? He got an interest free loan of $2500 for 3 months, along with another assistant? This is the lack of institutional control?

So let's review: Pan and Stoutland didn't get NOAs. Hurtt knew about $3k in benefits to players and recruits. Hurtt and Hill misled the NCAA AFTER they were no longer employed by the school. The bball assistants were blackmailed by Shapiro and didn't say anything to the AD. Haith didn't get a show cause, just a failure to monitor for failing to disclose the alleged blackmail. The biggest allegation against the bball program, the alleged payment to DQJ, wasn't in the NOA and doesn't appear to have any truth, as DQJ was allowed to play after appeal. Shannon, for as poor of a coach as he was, was not named in the NOA at all and was on record telling people to stay away. The total value that the allege in the NOA is apparently under $50k. The sham of the NCAA investigation has been discussed enough already, so no need to recap. And somehow, this adds up to a lack of institutional control?? How is this real life?

Kiss my ******* *** NCAA.

Well I'll be damned. I can't believe we imposed a 2nd bowl ban for this bull****. I understand why it was done, but cot **** this is a whole bunch of nothing. :ohlord:

Used appliances is my favorite thing. This guy was defrauding people left and right, racked up close to a billion, yet all he got for Wilfork was a used washer dryer. And I am sure the evidence that supports this allegation is weak at best.

One can only laugh at this stuff.

Meanwhile LSU had a lineman go into his NFL Combine interview and speak about how him and his teammates used to gamble on games. The Clemson TE, who said he had more money and resources at Clemson then he would in the NFL (when asked if he was going pro. Its on Youtube btw). They have crippled a program from $3300. Is this the amount that was paid back by the players who were suspended 2 seasons ago?

NCAA Paid $8700 to Shapiro
NCAA Paid $15,000 to Shapiro's lawyer (billed $58,000 total)

Where is the balance in this? 2 years the program has been crippled for basically peanuts...

3 more years? I did not listen but was that mentioned?

Yes, LeBastard talked about dragging out the process and Whitlock said that our struggle could inspire fourteen and fifteen year old kids to attend the U to bring us back.

GTFOOH.
